Hotels and accommodation in the Novy Svet

View of the Novy Svet
Novy Svet

The village of Novy Svet is distinguished by comfort and beautiful views, and the prices for accommodation here are appropriate, i.e. high. Compared to the neighboring Sudak prices are almost twice as high, so if you want to save money, it makes sense to stay in Sudak, and go to the beaches of the Novy Svet by bus during the day.

If high prices do not frighten you, you can choose to stay in one of the hotels or hostels, but it is better to book in advance, even before the start of the season. There is also a private sector here: prices start from 1000 rubles for a tiny room for two with absolutely no amenities (when the toilet and shower are on the street or in the owners ' house), for more or less comfortable housing you will have to pay from 2000 rubles. You can rent housing from private owners upon arrival in the village at the bus stop or through ad sites.

Accommodation on the first line in the Novy Svet is in short supply, but even if you settle further from the coast, this will not create great difficulties, since everything is nearby, the village is small, you can move everywhere on foot.

When searching for hotels in Crimea on Booking.com you will most likely receive a message- "no options found". This is a limitation booking.com because of the sanctions. But to get around it and book accommodation in the Crimea is very simple, you just need to turn on the "traveling for work" tick. Beaches Of The Novy Svet

In the village of Novy Svet there are several beaches, but really equipped and suitable for a comfortable stay, in our opinion, only one is the Central Beach. In addition to it, there are several small wild and completely undeveloped beaches, which should rather be considered as secluded places for recreation or even attractions, since they are more beautiful than suitable for swimming. Some of them are simply dangerous to go into the water because of the stones and waves. Here is a brief description of each of them:

  • Central Beach

    Central Beach, Novy Svet
    Central Beach

The central or main beach of the Novy Svet is located in the village itself in the Green Bay (aka Sudak-Estuary Bay. In addition to the beach itself, there is a cozy promenade along the coast. It is here that vacationers of the village and guests from Sudak spend most of their time.

Getting here is easy: it is located directly within the village of Novy Svet, and from any hotel or guesthouse you can get there on foot (Central Beach on the map).

The size of the beach is not that big, 600 by 50 meters, however, it is one of the best beaches in the Sudak area. In the summer season, the number of vacationers is simply huge. Equipped with a beach at the highest level, there are:

    • changing rooms
    • toilets
    • showers
    • sun loungers and parasols rental
    • canopies
    • cafes and bars
    • water attractions
    • entertainments for children

The beach is clean, the surface is mixed-in one place Sandy, in another of small and large pebbles, but still more sand. The sand is dark, but it's not dirt, it's just the properties of the sand itself (it's said to be volcanic). There are special board paths for comfortable movement. The water is clear and transparent, the bottom is smooth, there are no sharp changes in depth. However, under water, large stones are not uncommon, so you need to go into the water carefully.

  • Wild beach in Rogue Bay

    Robber's Bay, Novy Svet
    Robber's Bay

This beach is located in a protected area, but you can get there. To do this, you need to pay 100 rubles for the entrance to the Golitsyn trail, and after walking along it for 20-30 minutes, you will get to this beach. For reference, it is on the route after the grotto of Chaliapin (wild beach in Rogue Bay on the map).

There is no infrastructure as such, but this place is popular with vacationers. The beach is pebbly, a lot of large stones. The bottom is not flat, you need to go into the sea with caution. For children, the place is completely unsuitable. But the water is crystal clear, without debris and algae. A pleasant entertainment is the underwater caves hidden in the depths of the Bay.

  • Royal Beach

    Tsar's Beach, Novy Svet
    Royal Beach

To the west of the Novy Svet in the Blue Bay there is a Royal Beach – one of the most beautiful places in the Crimea. Legally, this is a protected area and access to it is prohibited, but in practice, in high season there is simply not crowded from beachgoers.

You can get there by the Golitsyn trail (you need to pay 100 rubles for admission), and follow the trail through the Juniper Grove to turn through the forest (Tsarsky Beach on the map). Another way is to walk to the southwestern part of the village (the landmark is the Juniper Grove Hotel), and then follow the trail. No matter how you get to the beach, you will have to go down a difficult mountain path formed in the riverbed. It is much easier to get to the beach by boat from the central beach, but the prices are high.

The unique and striking nature of the coast here is adjacent to crystal clear water. Landscapes and landscapes attract a large number of tourists, and it is always crowded, boats with tourists come up every now and then. The beach is Sandy, made of dark, possibly volcanic sand. You can swim, the water is almost always calm. Even children will be safe here, but you still need to look after. However, it is still impossible to fully relax here: the beach is not equipped in any way, there is no toilet; no one cleans the garbage, there are no bins; everything you need, including umbrellas (there is nowhere to hide from the shadow) and mattresses, will have to be taken with you.

  • The beach behind the pier

On the left side of the main beach separated by a pier there is another small beach covered with pebbles and stones (beach behind the pier on the map). To get there, you need to go to the end of the embankment and go around the pier. If you move further along the coast towards Sudak, you can walk to two more wild beaches, and even to Turtle and crab Bay.

There is nothing of infrastructure here, but the lack of infrastructure is made up for by pleasant privacy even in the hottest season of the year. The seabed is rocky, there are quite large cobblestones, so it is recommended to let children into the water only under the careful supervision of adults.

  • Wild beach in Turtle Bay

This beach is not so popular with vacationers, so it is a great place for lovers of privacy or nudists. You can get there by a trail through the forest, which starts right next to the road between Sudak and Novy Svet (Wild beach in Turtle Bay on the map). If you go by bus, you should ask the driver to drop you off at the stop "Water pump" or "on demand", and then walk.

The coast here is covered with large pebbles, the bottom with large smooth boulders, so you need to enter and exit as carefully as possible. The water is clean. In summer, because of the rocks at 6 pm The Sun does not fall on the beach. There is no infrastructure not only on the beach, but also in the immediate vicinity, so everything you need, including food and water, you need to take with you.

  • Wild beach in crab Bay

For a wild beach has a fairly large size: 100 by 10 meters. Because of the far location from the Novy Svet, there are practically no people here. The easiest way to get here is by sea. You need to drive carefully, as both the bottom and the shore are strewn with large boulders. By car it is possible to reach only by road between Sudak and Novy Svet, and further by a trail through the forest (Wild beach in crab Bay on the map). You can walk from The Novy Svet and along the shore. On the bus, you should ask the driver to drop you off at the "Water pump" or "on demand" stop, and then walk along the trail through the forest.

It is a rocky and pebbly beach. In places where there are no stones, the beach is covered with large pebbles. The water is clear, but it is inconvenient to enter it because of large fragments of stones. Hunting crabs is highly discouraged. On foot along the shore you can go to the beach in Turtle Bay.

  • Veselovskaya Bay Beach

This beach is already in another locality - Veseloe Village, but often visited by guests of the Novy Svet. Here you can also stay in a hotel or rent accommodation. You can get there by the Golitsyn trail from the Novy Svet (but this will not be just a walk, but a real march) or by bus from the village of Veseloe (Veselovskaya Bay Beach on the map).

The beach is quite large, has a length of about 2 kilometers. Even at the height of the tourist season, you can find a free place. The coast is Sandy with small pebbles. The water is clean, the entrance to the sea is convenient, without stones. There are no strong waves, as the Bay is closed on both sides by capes. You can relax with small children. The infrastructure is decent, there are canopies, umbrellas, toilets, changing rooms, a rescue post and a volleyball court. Outside the beach there is a special place for a tent city. There are cafes and shops.
