Novy Svet in Crimea - urban-type settlement and suburb Sudak. Administratively belongs to Bolshoy Sudak, located on the Black Sea coast in the southeastern part of the Crimean Peninsula, five kilometers from the center of Sudak (Novy Svet on the map of Crimea). This is a very tiny village with a population of just over a thousand people, and its area is only slightly more than one square kilometer. From the south it is covered with a ridge of the Crimean Mountains, access to the sea is represented by the shores of picturesque bays, delimited by Rocky capes. The surroundings of the village are a nature reserve. Thanks to all this, Novy Svet is famous as one of the most cozy places to stay in the Crimea, just a real idyll for those who want to enjoy a relaxing beach holiday in a quiet and very picturesque place.
The resort town, until 1912 called Paradise (Paradise), gained fame outside the Crimea, attracting tourists not only with a beach holiday in a mild climate, but also with some historical and natural attractions.
The Centralbeach in the Noviy Svet is positioned as the only civilized place for recreation with developed infrastructure. It occupies a section of the coast of the Green Bay with a length of 500-600 meters. The width of the beach is about fifty meters, the coverage is diverse. Placers of large and small pebbles alternate with sandy islands. Here, fans of sunbathing can take advantage of the rental of tourist equipment, water attractions, cafe tables and other services that provide a full rest. In addition to the main beach, the wild exits to the sea in robber, crab and Turtle Bay are popular for privacy. Separately, it is worth mentioning the famous Royal Beach: the place is incredibly beautiful and forbidden, but, nevertheless, crowded.
Many visitors are attracted to the village attractions of the Noviy Svet: the Golitsyn trail (when walking along it, tourists get acquainted with several attractions at once, such as the Chaliapin grotto, Cape Kapchik, through grotto, etc.), two Golitsyn Estates and the Champagne and wine factory "Novy Svet". Organized excursions of tourists come to Novy Svet from the nearby cities of Sudak, Alushta, Feodosia. Vacationers are happy to visit the tasting rooms of the current champagne factory. They take part in campaigns to the ruins of the cave monastery and Kutlak fortress – a defensive structure of The Times of the Bosporus Kingdom. Each visitor is simply obliged to swim on the Royal Beach, sit in the shade of the relic trees of the Juniper Grove, admire the seascape from the quaint Cape Kapchik and look into the mysterious darkness of the through grotto, fantasizing about pirate treasures. The surroundings of the village abound with hiking trails, along which you can climb to one of the peaks. In the village there is a scuba diving club "Katran", in which you can learn for beginners and dive under the water for professionals.
The tourism industry in the Noviy Svet, we can say, is just emerging. There are no large hotel complexes and shopping and entertainment centers. Because of this, the prices for rest here are quite high, there is a shortage of inexpensive accommodation. Otherwise, the infrastructure is quite developed: there are cafes and restaurants, inexpensive canteens (one of the most famous is the legendary dining room of the USSR), for those who like to dance, the Octopus disco bar, travel agencies and the sale of excursions. Along the coast there is a cozy promenade, where during the day you can walk with children and ride them in rented children's cars, and in the evening have dinner in a restaurant overlooking the sea or dance at a disco.
Weather and tourist seasons in the Noviy Svet
As with most resorts in Crimea, the high beach season in the Noviy Svet lasts from July to September. At the same time, you can swim and sunbathe at the end of May and until the beginning of October, but the sea warms up to a comfortable temperature closer to the end of June. It makes no sense to come to Novy Svet in winter.

Entertainment for children. There are not many activities for children in the Noviy Svet, but you can go to the water park in Sudak, and on the embankment there is a bicycle rental and children's cars.
Eat in the Noviy Svet. Inexpensively you can eat in the famous dining room "USSR".
Bus from Sudak. On the local bus from Sudak, it is best to go from the terminal (Sudak bus station), otherwise in the city you simply can not get on the bus.
Housing in the Noviy Svet. If housing in the Noviy Svet is not affordable, or simply not enough space, then it is quite possible to stay in Sudak, and come to the local beach for a day by bus.
Champagne "Novy Svet". In the local company store at the factory "Novy Svet" original champagne is sold. Prices here are the cheapest in comparison with the rest of the Crimea, so you can safely buy.
