German Beam is a conditional natural landmark near the Quality. Let's explain why we consider it conditionally natural: although it is part of the landscape and famous for its views, in fact this place appeared because of human actions. The beam is located on the Black Sea coast a couple of kilometers south of the resort the village of Kacha, and is an old abandoned quarry, which got its name from the fact that there was once a village either after the events of the Second World War, when the Germans specially equipped a smooth descent to the sea from a high coastal cliff for a more convenient landing.
Whatever the origin story of the name, today this place attracts lovers of wild and relaxing beach holidays. You can walk or drive here during your vacation from Kachi to relax and swim on a much less crowded beach than in the center of Kachi. The beach here is wide, unlike the center, but without any infrastructure, so you will have to bring everything you need to relax. There are no toilets and changing booths here, but you can safely do your "intimate affairs" by moving a little to the side along the shore behind the rocks, or climb a little higher along the shore behind the hills.
Some vacationers purposefully come to rest here for a day or a weekend even from more remote cities of the Crimea, for example from Sevastopol, Simferopol, Bakhchisarai. They are attracted here by beautiful views, an excellent mixed sandy and pebble beach, as well as the opportunity to comfortably camp in a tent almost on the very shore. After the exit from the asphalt road that leads to the resort village of Kacha, you will go down the quarry almost to the beach along the rolled primer. You can't go to the beach itself, and you can't do it by law, but you can leave the car just a few dozen meters from the water's edge. Although this will also be a violation of the Water Code of the Russian Federation, it does not stop anyone and cars are always here in high season. But if you want to set up your tent camp in the German Beam and at the same time not interfere with anyone, it is better to do it on a very spacious and flat ground area a little before reaching the end of the road. There you can safely park your car and set up a whole tent camp, there is plenty of room. Moreover, you can drive behind a small bulk hill and hide your camp from prying eyes and the wind, and relax at your own pleasure.

🚶 How to get there: The German Beam is located a couple of kilometers from Kacha (German Beam on the map), and if you are staying in a village, you can easily walk here along the shore or walk around the top of the asphalt road. If you walk along the shore, then you need to walk a little more than two kilometers in one direction from the center, but get ready to overcome several rocky areas on rocks or in the water. From other districts and cities you can get here by bus, taxi or your own car. All buses that go to Kacha pass by the beam. These are commuter flights from Simferopol, Bakhchisarai and from the northern bus station of Sevastopol. You just need to ask the driver to make a stop (stop at the "Turn to Vinogradnoye"), and then to the beach just a few minutes down the primer.
You can also drive your own car along the only road to Kacha. The beam will be on the left along the route before reaching a couple of kilometers to the village. Here you need to turn onto a dirt road, and the road almost immediately goes down to the sea through the quarry.
