What to Expect and Is It Worth Visiting
St. Nicholas Armenian Church (Surb Nikoghaios) in Evpatoria was founded in 1817. It was built for a long time, almost 40 years, due to lack of funds. It is interesting for its architecture in the traditions of mixed Armenian and Russian classicism. Unfortunately, the original architecture has survived little, but the main features remain. In the 80s of the last century, the church was almost destroyed, but the temple survived and recently underwent a serious reconstruction. Today it looks like new, but some historical elements still managed to be preserved. Surb Nikogaios is included in the tourist route "Little Jerusalem", and is recommended to visit with a guide.
