Sights of Primorsko-Akhtarsk and what to see

There are practically no attractions in Primorsko-Akhtarsk, there is also very little entertainment. Here you can visit the local museum of local lore, walk along the neat embankment to the Bronekater monument, go with children to a modest amusement park. Sometimes, at the height of the season, several children's attractions (trampoline and bouncers) appear on the beach, but their availability from season to season is not guaranteed. On the beach opposite Kubanskaya street there is a bicycle rental, SUP-surfing boards, windsurfing. But there are no traditional active beach activities such as jet ski rental, banana or pill riding, etc.

If you become completely bored in Primorsko-Akhtarsk (and most likely, it will become after a few days of rest), then you can go during the day or overnight to Yeisk, where there are many more interesting places and entertainment. On the Internet you can find much longer lists of attractions and entertainment in Primorsko-Akhtarsk, but in most cases they do not correspond to reality. For example, you can find a mention of the bunker of the headquarters of the Azov military flotilla, but in fact this place is abandoned and closed, you can not visit it. Moreover, sometimes in such guidebooks, places that never existed are described, or sights that are tens or even hundreds of kilometers away from it are attributed to the city.

Primorsko-Akhtarsky Museum Of Local Lore

The Museum of Primorsko-Akhtarsk is a classic Provincial Museum of local lore with a modest but informative collection of exhibits telling about the history of the region and the exploits of the city during the Great Patriotic War. Temporary exhibitions are also held here. In addition to the internal permanent exhibition, there are several large exhibits in the courtyard of the museum.

Unfortunately, the museum has been under repair for a long time (as of 2021), and there is no information about the resumption of work. Check by phone or with local residents before going to it, whether it has started working. As an alternative, it is proposed to visit the exhibition of paintings in the House of culture at the address 50 years of October 65/1.

Therapeutic mud

Near the resort there are several estuaries (salt lakes), known for their therapeutic mud. Officially, they are not curative, but local residents have long used them for the treatment and Prevention of various diseases, and all this for free.

But recall that self-treatment with mud is not recommended by doctors. At least the following rules should be followed:

• Do not apply dirt in one procedure on the whole body at once: it is recommended to apply it on the limbs and joints, avoid applying it to the heart, neck and head;
• After application, you need to wait until it dries, after which it needs to be washed off, usually no more than 15-20 minutes;
• Try not to get dirt in your mouth, nose, eyes;
• Repeat the "mud treatment" no earlier than the next day;
• Monitor your health, and if you feel unwell (headache, burning on the skin, increased pressure), it is better to stop the procedure.

Children's amusement park

This is the only amusement park in the city, and it is quite modest. There are several simple carousels for the youngest children, bicycle rental, shooting range, inflatable trampoline. Sometimes ice cream and cotton candy are sold. Adults have absolutely nothing to do here, but with children up to about 8 years old it is quite possible to have fun.

Embankment

Along the entire coast within the city for almost 2 kilometers stretches a pedestrian promenade. In different places it is arranged differently, but about in the middle it is quite a decent pedestrian zone with cafes and shops selling tourist goods and souvenirs. Of course, you should not expect from her an atmosphere of fun, as in large resorts, but if you go for a walk in the evening, then it is here, there is simply nowhere else. By the way, in 2020, repairs began on the embankment to make it even more convenient and attractive.

Monument Bronekater

The monument to the sailors of the Azov flotilla or simply the Armored boat is one of the iconic places in the city. This armored boat during the Second World War participated in the liberation of the cities of Taganrog, Mariupol, Osipenko, Temryuk and Kerch, and went through the combat path from Primorsko-Akhtarsk to Stalingrad and Vienna.

Indian lotus plantation

Many tourists are surprised that Indian lotuses grow on the reservoirs of the Krasnodar Territory, but in fact it is not so rare in these parts. One of the places where they can be seen is 25 kilometers from Primorsko-Akhtarsk. To see them, you can buy an excursion in the city itself, or take your own transport to the Sadki farm, and there on a boat in the form of an excursion to sail along the canals to the place where the lotuses grow. But you should go here only in August, in the other months you will not see the plants. And even better, check with the locals before you go to the lotuses, whether they are, as they are not revealed in all their glory every season. Moreover, in 2020, they did not bloom at all, allegedly due to the discharge of chemicals, and whether they will bloom in the future is unknown.
