Praskoveevka - a village in the Krasnodar Territory as part of Greater Gelendzhik, a famous beach resort (Praskoveyevka on the map. Surprisingly, this tiny village with only a few options for tourist accommodation is known to every tourist who has visited Gelendzhik. Its popularity is due to the amazing natural attractions, The Rock "sail", which brings large groups of tourists from all the resorts of Greater Gelendzhik. Also, vacationers from Gelendzhik often come here to relax on the beach during the day by bus or car. However, before you go to Praskoveyevka to rest on the wave of this fame, it is worth learning about some of the features of rest in this resort.

In the "mountain guides" on the Internet you can read enthusiastic descriptions of Praskoveyevka, as a quiet, peaceful resort located in an ecologically clean place surrounded by beautiful mountains, with a lot of entertainment and attractions, a deserted surprisingly beautiful beach, and low prices. Unfortunately, the truth here is only that these are really clean and beautiful places with almost untouched nature. The situation in the resort is very calm, the beach is wonderful (only Pebble). In general, a real idyll, if you prefer a quiet secluded holiday, and besides the beach you do not need anything. Everything else is completely the opposite.

• The beach is crowded with vacationers due to the arrival of tourist groups on ships.

Praskoveyevka is a very small village consisting of only a few streets. It stretches along the gorge of the Dzhankhot River, which, winding between the mountains, flows into the sea near the beach. Next to the beach there is a tourist area with cafes, small shops with food and drinks, tents with tourist goods and souvenirs.

The beach with a tourist area and the center are separated by almost 6 kilometers. Unfortunately, all budget accommodation options are located in the center, and in the tourist area there are only a few expensive hotels and recreation centers. And expensive not in terms of comfort and service, but, in our opinion, simply with inflated prices. Therefore, if you do not settle in a tourist area, you will have to get to the beach 3-6 kilometers each time. The bus to the beach goes only 4 times a day, walking under the scorching sun is not very comfortable and safe, so you need a personal car.

When you get to the beach, there is a second problem-where to put the car in the parking lot. Unfortunately, despite the vast expanses, the coastal zone is organized so that it is impossible to park anywhere for free. Therefore, you will have to put the car in a paid parking lot for 150 rubles, and then to the beach 200 meters on foot.

Sometimes even in advertising guides on the Internet you can find mentions that rest in Praskoveyevka is very cheap, and this is a great alternative to the more expensive Gelendzhik, especially for those who prefer a quiet secluded environment. In fact, everything is again the opposite. There are few accommodation options here, so the prices for them in the absence of competition are very high. For the price of a good room with service in the center of Gelendzhik here you can get only a room in the private sector with amenities on the street. The same applies to the prices of food and basic necessities, they are very high here. Therefore, a tip: If you plan to cook yourself (if there is a kitchen in the accommodation), then it is better to go to chain supermarkets for food in Divnomorskoe (15 kilometers) or Gelendzhik (25 kilometers).

Infrastructure and entertainment in Parkoveyevka are very poorly developed. In the center there are a couple of "selmags", near the beach there are also several shops with basic products and drinks, including draft alcoholic beverages. The tents sell goods for recreation: inflatable circles, mattresses, swimsuits, glasses and masks for swimming, etc.prices are higher than in Gelendzhik, but you can bargain. We did not meet the sale of excursions here, but perhaps somewhere there are offers of private traders. You can eat in one of several cafes in the area near the beach, but in the center of the village there is nowhere to eat, you will have to cook yourself. For rest and a short trip to Praskoveyevka on the beach, take cash. Cards are almost never accepted anywhere, there is no ATM, only some sellers accept payments through SBER-online.

Beach in Praskoveyevka really beautiful and clean, the water is clear most of the time. The depth is great, there are no places for children to swim. The beach is completely pebbly, pebbles are small and medium. Therefore, to enter the water, you should use shoes for swimming, and sunbathe on rented sun loungers or thick bedding, which can replace a tourist mat.

The beach is well equipped. Renting a chaise longue costs 200 rubles / day, or you can rent a whole "gazebo" for 4-5 people for 1000 rubles. On the shore there is a toilet (20 USD), shower (100 USD), changing cabins (free of charge). Draught drinks are sold, there is a cafe where you can order food, drinks and a table even on the beach.

Water Entertainment is not much. There is a rental of catamarans, jet skis, kayaks, SUP surfboards. Sometimes there is a ride on a banana, a pill and a parachute, but the presence of these entertainments is not guaranteed: they are there, then they are not.

On the left side of the shore there is a pier from where you can go on private boat trips and fishing, group excursions are not offered. But more often this pier is used for disembarking and landing large groups of excursions from Gelendzhik and other major resorts in the vicinity. These groups spend 1-2 hours on the beach, and then swim away, but this continues all day. Therefore, to say that the beach in Praskoveyevka is deserted can only be a stretch. Of course, there are no situations when there is not enough space for rest, but the constantly moving masses of people on the beach do not add comfort to rest.

Hotels and accommodation in Praskoveyevka, where to stay

As we have already mentioned, there are very few accommodation options in Praskoveyevka, and prices are high compared to the neighboring large resorts of Gelendzhik, Divnomorskoye, Kabardinka and others. There are only a few hotels and recreation centers, the rest is private housing and apartments for rent for a short time.

A room for two will cost from 2000 rubles, a separate house for living for four – from 4000 rubles. What is bad, through search and booking systems you can book only a small part of all the options, mostly expensive. Therefore, if you need budget housing, you will have to look for options through bulletin boards and on tips from other tourists, or come and look on the spot, which, of course, is associated with the risk of not settling.

When choosing options, we advise you to pay attention to the availability of a kitchen and the ability to cook food, since there is nowhere to eat, and prices in local cafes "bite". As for the choice of accommodation, then, as we have already mentioned, near the beach there are only a few expensive options for hotels and recreation centers. You can settle in the center, but it is almost 6 kilometers to the beach. Closer there are options along the road to the beach in the territories of garden and country associations, but it is about 3 kilometers to the beach.

Weather in Praskoveyevka, tourist seasons

• ⛅ you can go in May, September and October. Theoretically, you can swim in mid-May, at this time warm sunny weather is established. But the sea is cold, and the weather is unstable, sometimes it is cloudy and rainy. The beach season lasts until mid-October, but already in mid-September the resort "falls asleep", a few tourist establishments and services stop working.

• 🌨 do not go from November to April. These months are too cold and uncomfortable to rest.

How to get to Praskoveyevka

Most often, people go on vacation to Praskoveyevka by their own car, and this is really the best way to get here. Moreover, the car does not hurt at all during the rest in order to get to the beach from the center, or go shopping, entertainment or to the sights in Gelendzhik or Divnomorskoe. A dead-end road leads to the village and the beach (ends here) from Gelendzhik through Divnomorskoye and Djanhot, there are no other routes. Be careful on this path: the road is serpentine, with very sharp turns. Strictly adhere to speed limits on signs. In the village there are no difficulties with parking personal transport, but near the beach the car can be left only at a paid parking lot for 150 rubles/day.

From Gelendzhik, railway station and airport, we highly recommend getting to Praskoveyevka by taxi. It is better to order cars through aggregator applications such as Yandex, Uber (it is Cheaper this way), or order a car on the tourist transfer website Kiwitaxi (this is more comfortable, but somewhat more expensive):

If you can not afford a taxi, you can use the local suburban bus number 108. This bus departs from the old Gelendzhik bus station in the center on Sadovaya Street 23 (bus station on the map), and runs through the center of Praskoveyevka to the beach. Travel costs 60 rubles, almost an hour on the way:

• Departure from Gelendzhik: 05:10, 06:30, 08:10, 09:00, 13:15, 15:00, 17:30, 19:00
• Departure from Praskoveyevka Beach: 06:30, 07:50, 09:30, 10:35, 14:20, 16:20, 19:10, 20:20

In practice, the schedule is usually limited to four flights per day: two in the morning and two in the afternoon. The current schedule is published at the stops, but it is better to additionally check it with local residents.

Attractions and entertainment, what to see

Entertainment and attractions in Praskoveyevka are few. There is only one attraction – this is the famous rock "Parus", which is described in more detail below. In the center of the village there is a church of the beheading of John the Baptist, originally built in 1896, but it is not of great tourist interest. Group excursions to the surroundings and to interesting places of the Krasnodar Territory from Praskoveyevka are not carried out, so everything will have to be organized independently.

In the vicinity of Gelendzhik there are many interesting natural attractions: mountains, waterfalls, river gorges, viewing platforms. There are also interesting cultural and historical places, among which ancient buildings - dolmens-are mandatory for visiting. Here is a list of interesting places that we recommend to visit first:

From entertainment in Praskoveyevka, traditional water activities are presented on the beach, but not all of them are available throughout the beach season. There is a rental of catamarans, jet skis, kayaks, SUP surfboards. On the outskirts of the beach there are areas with a rocky bottom, where you can do good snorkeling (swimming with a mask). Masks, tubing and fins can be bought or rented at the tourist market before entering the beach. Rock "Sail"

This is a famous natural landmark, a high rock on the shore of the form of a sail. Moreover, it really has the shape of a thin sail, and not only looks like this from the outside.
