How to get from the airport to Krasnaya Polyana

From Sochi airport to the center of Krasnaya Polyana 40 kilometers, a few more kilometers to go to the ski resorts (airport on the map). The fact is that to park it for free in ski resorts will not work, it is more profitable to take a taxi every time. By train to Krasnaya Polyana

Krasnaya Polyana has two modern railway stations: esto-Sadok (station on the map) and destination "Rosa Khutor"(station on the map). But long-distance trains do not go to them, which means that there is no way to get here directly by train from other regions. Therefore, you will first have to take the train to Adler station or, in extreme cases, to Krasnodar, and from there transfer to the train, bus or taxi directly to the resort. Check the schedule and buy tickets better on the official website of Russian Railways or at the city's ticket offices. When buying through the site, it is better to first register in the Russian Railways bonus system in order to save points for the next trips.

How to get from the railway station to Krasnaya Polyana

If from your city the train goes only to Krasnodar, then in Krasnodar it is best to change to the daily high-speed train "Lastochka", which in less than 6 hours will take you to one of the two stations" esto-Sadok" or "Rosa Khutor". Which one to choose as the end point depends on where your hotel is located.

If there are trains from your city to Sochi and Adler, then it is best to go to the railway station of Adler, which is located only 50 kilometers away. There you can transfer to the train, which in 40 minutes and 260 rubles will take you to one of the two stations.

If the train does not fit according to the schedule, you can go by taxi (from 1500 rubles, 60 Minutes on the way) or by city buses No. 105, 105C and 219 (from 160 rubles, an hour and a half on the way).

By car to Krasnaya Polyana

So far, you can get to Krasnaya Polyana by car only through Sochi on a complex serpentine road along the coast. In summer, after Dzhubga, many hours of traffic jams are formed, and sometimes to overcome these last 250 kilometers of the way, you will have to spend 6-8 hours, and in rare cases more.

It is possible to bypass some of the traffic jams on the Dzhubga-Tuapse section through the Shahumyan pass, but this road is 75 kilometers longer, and through the pass itself you will have to drive 7 kilometers along a terribly dusty and uncomfortable gravel road. If you decide to go through the pass, then the decision to detour should be made in Krasnodar or, in extreme cases, in Goryachy Klyuch, later you can not turn off the detour.

From Adler to Krasnaya Polyana there are two roads: old and New. Both are in excellent condition, but the new one is more direct and does not pass through populated areas. If you just need to get to the resort faster, then it is better to choose a new one, and if you want to make stops along the way to visit attractions (for example, the Akhshtyr Canyon and cave, the mineral spring Chvizhepse, etc.), then it is better to choose a trip along the Old Route.

To enter the mountains in winter, the car must be equipped with all-season or studded tires. Sometimes the traffic police arrange temporary posts at the entrance to the village on the new road and deploy drivers with unsuitable tires. If this happens to you, you can try to drive along the Old Road or just wait for the post to be removed and drive. But still, for safety reasons, in winter it is better to go on winter tires.

Where to park

In the center of the village and the residential area in esto-Sadka there are no big problems with long and short-term parking. Many accommodation facilities provide on-site parking or "own" spaces on the side of the road nearby. Of course, immediately upon arrival, it is not always possible to navigate and understand where you can park the car and where you can not, so it is better to seek help from the staff or the owners of the accommodation, and you will be prompted and shown everything.

The situation with parking directly at the ski resorts and near the lifts is much more complicated. Due to the lack of space in the mountains, there are very few free parking spaces, and those that are are almost always occupied by locals and taxi drivers. So you should not count on free parking even for a short time. Sometimes it is even impossible to make a short stop in the right place for boarding and disembarking passengers without formally violating the requirements of prohibiting signs. Well, leaving the car unattended in the wrong place is not worth it at all, because in five minutes it will be taken away by a tow truck or at best they will write out a fine with photo fixation.

But with paid parking there are no problems. There are many zones of paid parking in different places of resorts: near the train stations, within walking distance from the lifts, near the places of concentration of hotels, on the upper levels. The zone of the GTC "Gazprom" is generally fully paid, the barriers are immediately at the entrance. Rates differ in different places, here are the prices for a guide:

• more than 30 minutes – 50 rubles.
• 1-5 hours - from 150 rubles / hour.
• 5 hours or more daily payment-750 rubles/day.

Gas stations

In the village there are two network gas stations "Rosneft" and "Lukoil". The price of fuel here is higher than in other regions of the European part of the Russian Federation, but not higher than at other gas stations in Sochi.

Krasnaya Polyana from Sochi

The resorts of Krasnaya Polyana are connected to the center and resorts of Sochi by city buses and trains, as well as relatively inexpensive private taxis.

• Trains

  From almost any resort in Sochi, the fastest way to get here is by high-speed electric trains "Lastochka". Even in itself, such a trip will be interesting, because the train in some areas after Adler can accelerate to 160 km / h, and the windows offer spectacular views of the mountains. If you need to get to the center of the village of Krasnaya Polyana, then you need to go to the station "esto-Sadok", and from there on foot or by taxi. If you want to get to the resorts "Rosa Khutor", "Gazprom", "Krasnaya Polyana", it is better to go to the terminal station "Rosa Khutor".

  This is not the best way to get there, but it is Cheaper Than the train. And it is bad that it will have to go a long time on a winding road with many stops,it can easily rock with unaccustomed. There are several routes:

  Private taxis are a ride in a private car, not necessarily officially a taxi, at a negotiated price. Every resort in Sochi has traditional locations, usually near major transport hubs and important bus stops, where drivers are on duty, ready to drive long distances between resorts at a better price than taxis on meters. You can learn about such places from local residents (they themselves use the services of such taxis). But there is one peculiarity: drivers collect several people on a trip to share the cost of the trip, so you will have to go in the car with other people, and you may have to wait for the start of the trip.
