Blue Bay - a resort village on the Black Sea coast in Tuapse District, 15 kilometers from Jubgi and 120 from Krasnodar (Blue Bay on the map. Nearby is the resort Arkhipo-Osipovka, and next door another resort village - Inal Bay. However, do not confuse this village with another resort in the Krasnodar Territory with the same name, which is a district of Gelendzhik.

Blue Bay is a very tiny beach resort consisting of a couple of holiday homes near a small beach in a cozy Bay. There is nothing else here, not even the Houses of local residents, since the village is exclusively a resort. There is no infrastructure here, only one grocery store and a cafe.

Honestly, we would not recommend staying here at all, because it is too deaf and boring. The only reason to come here on vacation is if you get a ticket from a trade union or an enterprise with a big discount. Usually people come here during the day as one of the remote and quiet beaches from the neighboring resorts of Dzhubga, Tuapse or Arkhipo-Osipovka, or to relax by the sea for a couple of days from Krasnodar and other non-resort cities of the region.

But the beach in the Blue Bay is very good and differs from neighboring resorts, which attracts some beach lovers. The fact is that this is one of the few sandy and pebble beaches in this part of the Black Sea coast. In general, strictly speaking, there are several beaches here, but only one is publicly accessible, the approach and access to the rest is blocked by holiday homes. that is, they are not paid and access to them is not limited, but you can not get through fences and passageways on them, only if you do not stop to stay here or get to the beach by sea.

So, the only public beach with a length of about 300 meters is located in a cozy Bay, framed at the edges by dams. On the shore, sand mixed with pebbles, comes across garbage. The entrance to the water is gentle, the depth does not increase another 50 meters, so the place is ideal for bathing children. The bottom, by the way, is Sandy. The water is generally clean, but sometimes the wind and waves bring a lot of natural and household garbage, and it accumulates in the corners of the Bay. There is no Entertainment, the infrastructure is minimal: there are only umbrellas and sun beds for rent, a changing cabin, there is a cafe-bar nearby.

If you decide to come to this beach for one day to relax, then you will either have to pay 300 rubles for parking to drive closer to the beach, or leave the car near the road and walk 500 meters. You need to drive up to the beach on the right side of the canal, where the hotel "Scarlet sail" and the Hotel "Orange" are located. If you go on the left side of the canal, you will rest against the barrier and checkpoint of the Tuapse holiday home.

Hotels and accommodation where to stay

Accommodation options in the Blue Bay are few: the fingers of one hand are enough to count them. These are several holiday homes and hotels, and there are no budget options such as guest houses or private housing at all. Formally, the village belongs to Dzhubga, so hotels in booking systems for accommodation here usually need to be searched through Dzhubga. But there are objectively few options in the search, literally a few, since most of the rest homes and recreation centers work in the old-fashioned way only when paying for free or on vouchers.

Blue Bay Weather, tourist seasons

• 🌞 need to go from June to August. It is high tourist and beach season. The hottest months are July and August, but in the first half of June it can be cool and rainy.

• ⛅ you can go in May, September and October. In these months, the weather can present unpleasant surprises in the form of rains and cold weather, but in general you can rest. In May, the sea is also too cold for comfortable swimming, so if you really choose the best of these off-season months, then we would definitely recommend September.

• 🌨 do not go from November to April. From the Lantern, or rather even from mid-October, it becomes cold and uncomfortable for a beach holiday.

How to get there

Blue Bay is located 15 kilometers by road from Dzhubga and 120 kilometers from Krasnodar (Blue Bay on the map), and 5 kilometers from the village of Brzid on the M4-don Highway. Public transport does not go here, so you will have to get from the airport or from the railway station by taxi or book a tourist transfer in advance. To save money, you can take buses from the airport or railway station to the village of Brzid or Dzhubgi, and change to a taxi there, but in our opinion this saving is not worth it on vacation, and it is better to get there immediately with comfort without several transfers.   • Gelendzhik airport – 75 kilometers.

  It is better to fly to Krasnodar, since tickets there are cheaper and more flights are performed, including from the regions. The difference in airfare will more than cover the higher cost of a taxi ride, especially if you're traveling as a family.   Upon arrival at the airport, it is best to go directly to the resort by taxi or book a tourist transfer in advance. The cheapest way to order a taxi is through the Yandex.Taxi or Uber apps, and Citymobil doesn't work here yet. The trip will cost:

  • From Krasnodar Pashkovsky airport to Inal/Blue Bay-from 3100 rubles (book a transfer to kiwitaxi.ru or intui.travel).
  • Gelendzhik airport to Inal/Blue Bay - from 1500 rubles (book a transfer to kiwitaxi.ru).

  If you need to save money, you can take any bus from Krasnodar airport to Dzhubga, or the village of Brzid (these are buses in the direction of Gelendzhik or Anapa, cost from 400 rubles, 2-3 hours on the way), and already there transfer to a taxi or hitch a ride. If there are no buses on time from the airport, then you need to first take the city bus number 7 or taxi to the Krasnodar-2 Bus Station (1 hour on the way), and already there take the bus to Dzhubga, etc.

  From Gelendzhik airport you will also have to go by bus with transfers. First, Take city buses or taxis to the city bus station "upper bus station", from where you can 06:40, 07:40, 10:00, 12:00, 12:40, 14:25, 16:00, 17:40, 18:50, 19:30 suburban buses No. 107 (Gelendzhik - Teshebs) are sent, the cost is from 150 rubles, 2 hours. Also at the "upper bus station" you can take any other bus in the direction of Dzhubga/Krasnodar, and go to the village of Brzid, and then again by taxi or hitchhiking.

• By train

  The nearest railway station to the Blue Bay is in Goryachy Klyuch 65 kilometers away. It can be reached by any train traveling from Moscow and the regions to Sochi. Please note that you need to go by train to Goryachy Klyuch, and not to Krasnodar.

  From the railway station in Goryachy Klyuch, it is also best to go directly by taxi or order a tourist transfer, which will cost about 1300 rubles. If you need to save money, then in Goryachy Klyuch take any passing bus to Dzhubga or Gelendzhik (to the village of Brzid), and from there by taxi.

• By car

  Almost to the resort of Blue Bay there is an excellent M4-don highway, and only the last 5 kilometers from the village of Brzid will have to be driven along a narrow asphalt road. From Moscow and St. Petersburg on the M4 will have to go on paid sections, the fare will be from 1720 rubles depending on the payment method, it is recommended to use a transponder to save money. For tolls and M4 fares, see on the Avtodor website. You can also bypass toll roads, but in this case, spend a few extra hours, since the route will pass through settlements.

  From the regions east of Moscow (Tatarstan, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Orenburg, Ufa, etc.), it is convenient to go through Volgograd, and there all roads are free.

Attractions and entertainment in Blue Bay, what to see and do

There are no attractions and entertainment here, as there are no excursions. Some entertainment program is offered at home and recreation centers, but do not count on a wide variety. Ideally, you should come here to rest on your car, so that you can independently travel around interesting places in the district, of which there are plenty. We advise you to visit:

In the village of Blue Bay and nearby you can visit only these two places:

• Dolmen

  

  A lone standing Dolmen can be seen 10 minutes walk from the beach. There is no information about it, since it is not an official tourist site, but by analogy with other dolmens in the region, it can be assumed that its age is from 2 to 5 thousand years. The exact purpose of the dolmens has not been established for certain, but according to various theories, these structures could serve as a place of burial, cult worship, as astronomical instruments or even just as farm buildings for keeping animals.

• Therapeutic mud (blue clay)

  

  On the beach of Inal Bay there is a source of therapeutic blue clay in the form of two "lakes" with a diameter of about 2 and 5 meters. It is believed that this clay has a therapeutic, and especially cosmetic effect, cleanses and rejuvenates the skin. You can take mud baths for free, which is what tourists do, for which you should smear yourself with mud, wait until it dries, and then wash it off with sea water. But some vacationers are completely and permanently immersed in these lakes, which we do not recommend. Firstly, the medicinal properties and safety of mud are not controlled by research, tests for the content of harmful microorganisms are not carried out. And secondly, it's just not beautiful in relation to other vacationers.
