For the most advanced travelers to move around Kazan, the advanced system of free bike rental Veli'k, created according to the type of European, is perfect. True, it is objective to say that the rental system is somewhat confusing, and not so cheap. It is advantageous to use city rental for short trips of up to one and a half hours with interruptions. If you are a real fan of cycling and plan to ride more, it is better to use the daily rental.
Veli'k rental
Veli'k City Rental is only available between April and October.
In the tourist center of Kazan there are 7 automated stations where you can take or leave bicycles. In order to use a bicycle at any of the stations, you must first issue a subscription for 1 or 3 days worth 30 or 50 rubles, respectively, on the site. Payment is made on the site online, and as a subscription you receive an SMS message on the phone with the user number and PIN code. Now they can be entered at the terminal of the station, and take a bike for rent.
As soon as you take the bike to the station, the countdown begins. Time stops as soon as you return the bike to any and all stations.
Payment is made at the rate of the first half hour for free, then one hour for 50 rubles, the next hours for 150 rubles. It turns out that if you make short trips of 30 minutes, you will not pay anything (except for the fee for buying a subscription), or you can use the bike for an hour and a half (30 minutes+the first hour) for only 50 rubles. But then the prices per hour increase sharply to 150 rubles.
