The river port in Kazan is important for tourists primarily not as a transport hub, but as a place from where scheduled and excursion ships depart to the popular sights of Tatarstan: Sviyazhsk and Great Bulgarian. Also, pleasure boats with a two-hour excursion along the city shores will start from here. You can also take walks to villages and villages on the Volga shores of Tatarstan: Tetyushi, Pechischi, Upper Uslon, etc. But the latter is rather just a walk with nothing to do, since there is nothing tourist in the mentioned villages.
As for long-distance cruise ships, they do not come here, and accordingly it is impossible to get to Kazan by water through the river port from other cities on the Volga River. However, there are cruise ships on the Volga that make an excursion stop in Kazan. You can buy such cruise tours in travel agencies of Volga and other cities.
Unfortunately, today the river fleet of Kazan is in a deplorable state: there are few flights, many are canceled. At the beginning of the 2017 season, two-hour pleasure flights were even canceled due to the lack of a fleet. The huge building of the river station itself is not used and is empty, and the purchase of tickets at the ticket offices is located in a small modular pavilion nearby.
Schedule and flights
The river station has its own website - sktatflot.ru, where all the schedule and cost are available. But keep in mind that it is still better to check the schedule after the fact at the box office or by phone 8 (843) 233-08-08, 8 (843) 233-08-18 ( the help desk is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 to 17:00, lunch from 12:00 to 13:00), as flights are sometimes canceled due to the weather and the difficult financial condition of the fleet. And yet, the information on the site is not updated in a timely manner. It is better to buy tickets to the popular tourist destinations of Sviyazhsk and Bulgarians in advance, at least a day before the trip. Booking by phone or online is not provided, you will have to come to the port and buy a ticket at the ticket office.

How to get there
The river port of Kazan is located near the tourist area, Devyataeva str., 1 (river port on the map). Here is the final stop of public transport, and you can get here by bus №1, 6, 8, 31, 53, 85, tram No. 7, trolleybus No. 20 and 21, travel costs 25 rubles. You can get here on foot, but from the metro station "Tukaya Square" and the beginning of tourist Bauman Street you will have to walk about 40 minutes.
