The State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan or simply the Kazan Art Museum is located in an old two-story building of the early 20th century, so the museum building itself already deserves attention.
The permanent exhibition presents a valuable collection of icon paintings of the 16th-18th centuries, works by artists of the 18th-early 20th centuries-I. K. Aivazovsky, D. G. Levitsky, I. E. Repin, A. N. Benois and other famous Masters, household items (dishes, figurines). The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions of contemporary artists, concerts and lectures.
The permanent exhibition, on the whole, deserves a visit. The ticket price for it is 300 rubles, for temporary exhibitions-payment is made separately. But if you want to save a little, then you should Guess Your visit on the first Tuesday of the month, when you can visit the museum for free.
