What to Expect and Is It Worth Visiting
This is the only museum in Russia dedicated to the life and work of the Russian poet and translator Yevgeny Baratynsky (also Boratynsky), one of Pushkin's friends and one of the most striking, mysterious and underestimated figures in Russian literature of that time. The appearance of this museum in Kazan is not accidental. The fact is that the Boratynsky family lived in Kazan and the Province in the XIX and XX centuries, and the poet himself spent here from 1827-1833. The museum is small and its subject matter is unlikely to attract most travelers, but if you have already seen everything in Kazan or are interested in the work of Boratynsky, then it's worth a look here.
