The Republic of Chuvashia and the regional capital Cheboksary is located in the European part of the Russian Federation, 670 kilometers from Moscow (Cheboksary on the map). By plane

How to get from the airport to Cheboksary

Cheboksary airport is located just 10 kilometers from the center on the outskirts of the city (airport on the map), it is easy to get from here by city buses or taxis.

A taxi ride will cost about 200 rubles when ordering through aggregator applications or by calling local taxi companies, and a little more expensive if you negotiate with taxi drivers on the spot.

By bus you can get there for only 25 rubles. Buses depart from the stop to the left of the terminal exit, bus number 15 runs, departs approximately every 15 minutes. This route passes through the very center of the city along Kral Marx Street, past the pedestrian Efremov Boulevard and then goes almost through the whole city along Moskovsky Prospekt.

By train

By train, Cheboksary can be directly reached only from Moscow and several cities along the way, in particular from Arzamas and Murom. Unfortunately, trains from other regions and cities are not operated here. We recommend checking the schedule and purchasing tickets on the official website of Russian Railways or at Russian Railways ticket offices. We advise you to register in the Russian Railways-bonus system before buying tickets in order to accumulate points for future trips.

The railway station in Cheboksary is located a little away from the center on Privokzalnaya Street, 1 (railway station on the map). From here to the center by taxi you can get for 100 rubles, or on a large number of routes of city buses and trolleybuses.

Well, if you are ready to get with transfers, then you can get to Cheboksary by train from a much larger number of cities, for this you just need to buy tickets to the station in the city of Kanash, which is located 80 kilometers from Cheboksary. The arrival and departure of buses takes place from two bus stations:

• Central Bus Station. Located at 78 Mira Avenue (Central Bus Station on the map). This is the main bus station, where long-distance buses arrive, as well as buses around the region.
• Suburban bus station. Located on Privokzalnaya Street, 3 near the railway station (suburban bus station on the map. Suburban buses from neighboring cities, towns and villages of the Republic of Chuvashia, as well as large buses to Moscow, arrive and depart here.

Both bus stations are within walking distance from each other and from the railway station. You can get from here to the Center for 100 rubles by taxi, or on one of the many routes of city buses and trolleybuses.

Attention! The bus stations are open only in the daytime from 05:00 to 20:00. If the departure time of your flight is later, then just look for a bus on the station platforms.

By boat

Regular flights of ships along the Volga are not carried out in Cheboksary, but you can get here during a multi-day river cruise. Traffic in Cheboksary is very calm, traffic jams are rare, the roads are wide.
