Description and is it worth a visit
Elephant Falls is one of the most powerful. Unfortunately, you can hardly call it beautiful, but the fact that its power is impressive is unequivocal.
The road from Dalat to the waterfall passes by coffee plantations and very picturesque places. Along the way, you can visit a silk farm, a coffee plantation, a natural local market and many more interesting things. Perhaps the road to the waterfall is even more interesting than the waterfall itself.
The area in front of the waterfall, part of which is occupied by parking, is essentially an observation deck. Unlike others, The Elephant waterfall can be seen from its top, and in order to avoid accidents, it is fenced with a low fence. True, you can not see much from above.
It will be much more interesting if you go down to the foot of the waterfall, but it is not easy to do this, and even dangerous. On the right side of the site there is a narrow path leading to the foot of the waterfall. However, it is not adapted for the mass tourist and in some places you have to literally jump from stone to stone. In some places it is very dangerous, despite the fact that the stones are very slippery. But when you get to the bottom, you will discover the full power of the waterfall. But here the difficulties do not end: to see the waterfall in all its glory, you still have to jump from stone to stone along the river. There is also a passage to the very foot. Having made your way through the stones and a small passage in the rocks, you will get to a place where a powerful stream of water with force sweeps down, and you can even reach it with your hand. Only before that you have to undress or put on a raincoat, because in a few seconds you will get wet to the skin.
The collapsing water stream creates a lot of small splashes, and it seems that it is drizzling rain, which is why it is not easy to take photos without damaging the camera equipment. After the rainy season, a lot of garbage accumulates at the foot of the waterfall.
If you turn right from the observation deck, you will see the Chua Linh An Pagoda. A staircase leads up to it. The area around is well-groomed, and the atmosphere is peaceful. Inside the Pagoda are three huge statues of Buddha and several statues of Goddess Skanda.
