🚶 How to get there: Osmen peak is located in the southern part of Cebu island, 100 kilometers from Cebu and 35 from Moalboal (Osmen peak on the map). Almost to the very top there is a good asphalt road, and only the last 600 meters and 100 meters in height pass along the trail. At the beginning of the trail there is a checkpoint where the entrance is paid, then walk to the top for 10-20 minutes.

You can get directly to the checkpoint only with an excursion, by rented transport or by bus with a taxi transfer. Guided tours are offered at Moalboal and Cebu, and usually include a visit to Kawasan Falls.

By rented transport, it is best to go from Moalboal through the city of Alegria, and on the way visit the Kawasan waterfalls, Montpeller, Cambais, and return the same way. The Navigator can build a shorter route from Moalboal through the village of Tigiao, but the locals do not recommend using them, because the road is very bad and dangerous. Near the checkpoint, transport can be left under supervision in the parking lot for a fee in the form of a tip, 10-20 pesos is enough.

By bus you can get to the village of Mantalongon (Mantalongon), from where to the checkpoint 4 kilometers and 155 meters in height, which can be overcome on foot or by motorcycle taxi. But to this village transport goes very rarely, and may not go at all, so from Cebu or Moalboal get to Dalaguete (Dalaguete), and there look for a tricycle or motorcycle taxi to the village or immediately to the checkpoint.

Another option for hikers is to first get to Kawasan Falls, and from there go on a long track of 14 kilometers in one direction, which will take 5-6 hours. This route passes through beautiful fields and villages, and along the way you can go to another Mountain Casino Peak, aka Lugsangan Peak. Theoretically, you can go back and forth in one day, if you have experience of long hikes and good physical shape, but it is much more interesting to slowly go through it, spend the night on the top in a tent, and after meeting the dawn leave through the village of Mantalongon (Mantalongon), or return the same way. Equipment for overnight camping at the checkpoint is not provided, you will have to take your own or find a rental in Moalboal.
