Description and is it worth a visit
Officially, This is the main Local History Museum of Penang, since it has the status of the Penang State Museum. In this museum you can get acquainted with the history of the island, as well as see an exhibition of local artists who depicted the life and nature of the island. There are collections of old photographs, maps, national costumes, furniture and other items related to Penang's past. The museum is located in the premises of the former school, built in the distant 1812 year.
In fact, this is a rather simple and poor state museum with a not very large collection. This does not mean that you do not need to visit it, especially since the cost of visiting is purely symbolic, but do not expect too much from it. Photography in the museum is prohibited.
