A modest villa can be rented from $ 30 per day, and for a couple of hundred dollars you can already rent a good house near the beach with its own pool and even service. Renting a villa is very convenient if you are traveling in a group, and may even be more profitable than staying in hotels.

Areas/resorts of Lombok Island. Where to choose a hotel on Lombok Island

Sengigi Resort. The most popular tourist area of Lombok Island is the resort of Sengigi (also Senjigi, Senggigi, Senggigi) in the western part of the island. The tourist infrastructure here is most developed within the island, and most of the hotels are located here. The beaches here are very clean, long and sparsely populated, even though this is the most popular tourist area of the island. The total length of the beaches reaches 10 kilometers. This is an ideal place for most tourists. There is everything for a fun and pleasant stay: cafes, bars, restaurants, discos, shops, souvenir shops, and of course the beach with amazing sand and clear water. But it should be borne in mind that Sengigi is far from Kuta in Bali with its entertainment, although it is the most fun place in Lombok. Everything here is much more modest, quieter, and to be honest, more boring, and sometimes to get to the nearest good restaurant from some hotels you will have to walk a lot or even take a taxi. The density of entertainment, cafes, restaurants here is low, and corresponds to a good tourist village. But the number of molests on the beach is no less, and the sellers of "Got something" will get you here almost as much as on the beaches of Bali. Another feature of Sengigi Beach is the black sand due to volcanic rocks. Because of this, the sand and water seem very dirty, although in fact it is not. Gili Islands. Another popular and very worthy place to stay is the coral islands of Gili (Gili Island). These are three small islets – Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air. All the islands have beautiful beaches and excellent conditions for diving. The islands are very small, and people move along them on foot or on foot, since transport is prohibited on them (only bicycles and horse carts are allowed). The most developed is Trawangan and there are more hotels on it than on others. It is best to settle on it. Meno and Air are small islands, there are few hotels there and the atmosphere is somewhat more boring. In general, it is worth mentioning that Gili in Indonesia means a small island, and in addition to the three designated islets around Lombok, there are other Gili islands, but only these three are popular and developed. The peculiarity of the islands is the climate: despite the proximity to Lombok, the Gili Islands are much hotter, but during the rainy season, when torrential rains occur on Lombok, not a drop of precipitation often falls here. Kuta Beach. Another popular place is Kuta Beach in Lombok. We did not confuse anything, the beach is called exactly the same as the most popular area in Bali. This is an ideal place for surfing, although there are times of calm with no waves at all. The tourist infrastructure here is poorly developed, but pristine nature and pristine beaches have been preserved. But there is a surf school, shops and rental of surf accessories.
