Waterblow geyser in Nusa Dua in Bali and how to visit it

Description and is it worth a visit

Waterblow geyser in Nusa Dua

The Waterblow geyser is a natural landmark in the area of Nusa Dua, rocks on the shore formed in such a way that at some point a fountain of water is thrown up from the waves, as if from a geyser. It is located on a tiny rocky peninsula formed of lava rocks.

But to be honest, in our opinion, this is a very dubious place to visit as a real attraction. Firstly, there are such "geysers" in other places along the shores of Bali and not only, so you should not go specifically to this area from other places in Bali. Secondly, the entrance here is also paid. And thirdly, there is no guarantee to see the fountain throwing out spray. The Waterblow water geyser is worth a visit unless you are resting in the Nusa Dua area and you have nothing to do and nowhere to go, and there is plenty of time to sit and wait for the "geyser".

If you still decide to visit, then keep in mind that the geyser only works with strong waves and a certain water level. You may have to sit on the shore before you see something, or you may not see anything at all. Therefore, before buying tickets, ask if something is visible now. If they don't answer at the checkout, then ask those who come out of there.

🕐 Working hours

Daily from 09:00 to 18:00, seven days a week. To visit, it is better to choose a time with strong waves at sea, otherwise you may not see anything interesting here.

💵Entrance fee / ticket price

Adults - 25 000 rupees (1.38 USD), children - 15,000 rupees (0.83 USD).

🚶 How to get there

The Waterblow geyser is located in the south of Bali on the eastern shore of the Bukit Peninsula in the tourist area of Nusa Dua (Waterblow on the map). It is 15-20 kilometers from the airport and the center of Kuta. You can get from 120,000 rupees by taxi through the application (6.65 USD) and from 50,000 for a motorcycle taxi.

You can use your own (rented) transport to get here by toll or free road. The paid version is faster, but the problem is that you need to buy a special electronic card for payment. If this is a one-time trip along the "headscarf" for you, then there is no point in buying it, you can drive along the free route, although it's a bit of a detour and through traffic jams.
