Lotus Lagoon in Chandidas is a small lake on the shore in the remote resort town of Chandidas, which, contrary to the name, is filled not with lotuses at all, but with lilies or water lilies. And although some people think that lilies and lotuses are one and the same, in fact, despite the external similarity of flowers, they are completely different plants.
In general, there is nothing particularly interesting in or near the lagoon. But this is a good point to stop for a few minutes to take some beautiful photos and relax by the pond during a long road, for example, to water palace of Thira Ganga or to the traditional village of Tenganan Pegeringsingan. Well, if you are staying on vacation in Chandidas, then you will not miss the pond in any way, it is located almost in the center of the village and next to the beach.

The Lotus Lagoon in Chandidas is located in the northeast of Bali, 60 kilometers from Kuta, the airport and other tourist areas (lotus lagoon on the map). This is quite a long distance by local standards: it takes almost two hours to drive by car, and you will spend almost 3 in one direction on a motorbike.
