Chinese gazebo is one of the most beautiful viewing points in the tourist area of Pyatigorsk, located on Goryachaya Mountain and near the Flower Garden park, from where a staircase and a path lead to it. The history of this gazebo begins almost since the foundation of the resort. In 1862, a musical rotunda was installed on the site of a gazebo in the center of the Flower Garden park, in which a military band played for vacationers. But in 1901 it was moved higher to Goryachaya Mountain, because a new music venue was opened in the park itself. After a while, the old dilapidated rotunda was replaced with a new one. In the spirit of the new time, a wooden rotunda with colored stained glass windows and a Chinese-style roof was installed in its place, it was called "Colored". The author of the project was the architect A. N. Klepinina.

During the Soviet period, the gazebo was forgotten, it fell into disrepair again, but in 1976 it was decided to restore it again, although now without colored glass, but retaining the unusual roof. From that moment it was finally renamed "Chinese", and to this day it serves as a place of attraction and recreation for guests of the resort.
