Step 1. From Kislovodsk train station to Mineralnye Vody train station
Take a local train to Mineralnye Vody from Kislovodsk station (in the city center). A ticket costs from 335 RUB, and the trip takes about an hour and a half. Trains depart from 04:50 to 20:50 every 30–60 minutes.
Step 2. From Mineralnye Vody train station to the airport
At the station, transfer to minibus #11 (the stop is near the station). It runs from 06:00 to 19:30 every 20–30 minutes. The fare is 50 RUB, and the ride takes 20–25 minutes. The minibus takes you right to the airport terminal.
Step 3. At the airport
Minibus #11 stops at the entrance to the arrivals terminal. From there, it's easy to walk to the check-in counters.

Important: Minibus #11 only runs until 19:30. If your flight is late in the evening or at night, and you need to be at the airport after 19:30, this option won't work — take a taxi.

Buses don't run every hour, and schedules change. Consider this option if a taxi is too expensive and the train times don't work for you.
Option 1 (direct and convenient): Direct buses to Mineralnye Vody airport depart from Kislovodsk (from the bus station or some stops). Check the schedule on the carrier's website: kmvavto.ru/schedule/min-vody-airport/. Buses run about 7 times a day. Check the stops in Kislovodsk.
Option 2 (with a transfer): First take a bus or minibus to Mineralnye Vody bus station (the stop is called "Rynok Ruslan"), then transfer to minibus #11 to the airport. There are more departures from Kislovodsk to Mineralnye Vody — about 9 per day. Schedule: kmvavto.ru/schedule/mineral-water/.
Where to buy bus tickets in advance:
Important: Most buses from Kislovodsk depart from the bus station (4 Promyshlennaya St.) — that's on the northern outskirts, far from the tourist center. You'll need to get to the bus station first by taxi (from 200 RUB) or city minibuses #12, 14, 19 (35 RUB). Factor in this extra time.

Useful tips (personal experience)
- 🚌 Don't take a taxi from the airport parking lot (if you're going back). Freelance drivers charge 1.5–2 times more than app prices. Order Yandex Go instead — the car will pull up to the exit in 5–10 minutes. From Kislovodsk, it's also better to book through an app.
- 🚇 If your flight is during the day — take the train. It's the best balance of price and comfort. The train departs from the center of Kislovodsk, and minibus #11 takes you right to the airport.
- ⚠ At night or late in the evening — only a taxi. Minibus #11 runs until 19:30, trains from Kislovodsk until 20:50. After that, your only options are a taxi or a transfer.
- 🚗 Renting a car is worth it for 3+ days. If you've been driving around the Caucasian Mineral Waters or the mountains and then flying out, it's convenient to drop the car off right at the airport.
- 📅 Check the bus and train schedules for your travel date. They change depending on the season. More buses run in summer, fewer in winter. Pay special attention to the schedule for the return trip from Kislovodsk.
- 💡 Allow extra time. The trip to the airport may take longer due to traffic jams on the approach to Mineralnye Vody (especially in season). Arrive 2–2.5 hours before your flight.
