Useful tips before your trip
- 📅 Buy tickets in advance. A month or two before your trip — the lowest prices on trains and planes.
- ✈ Compare Moscow airports. Pobeda from Vnukovo is often cheaper, but doesn't fly to Mineralnye Vody every day. S7 from Domodedovo runs reliably every day.
- 🚇 On the train, get a lower berth. Especially if you're traveling alone — the lower berth has more space and is more comfortable to sit on.
- 🚌 The bus — only if you're on a really tight budget. Riding the bus is tough and uncomfortable. Better to spend an extra 2000 RUB on a train or plane.
- 🚗 Plan stops when driving. The M4 toll road is fast but monotonous and tiring. Take breaks every 3–4 hours.
