Zhelebovsky Spring or Narzan No. 23, Kislovodsk
Zhelebovsky Spring or Narzan No. 23

The Zhelebovsky Spring, or Narzan No. 23, is located a bit away from the center of Kislovodsk's tourist life and the pedestrian street, so it's not very popular or well-known among vacationers. However, this in no way diminishes the value of the healing mineral water, sulfate narzan No. 23, which is available in two forms: warm and cold. The water comes from a depth of 308 meters, making it the deepest of all the Kislovodsk springs. You can drink the water at the spring completely free of charge into your own cup, or you can buy a disposable cup here for 5 rubles. Drinking directly from the tap without a cup is strictly prohibited.

As with other springs in Kislovodsk, you cannot take water away in your own container. However, you can buy a plastic bottle at the spring for 15-20 rubles, then taking it away is allowed. But keep in mind that warm narzan in a plastic bottle will lose its healing properties within half an hour and become cloudy, while cold narzan can be stored in a cool, dark place for no more than a couple of days. So there's not much point in stocking up on water. It's better to come and drink it fresh from the source for therapeutic purposes.

Attention! Uncontrolled consumption and self-medication with this water are not recommended, as it is very "active" and not at all like what is sold in bottles in stores. Consuming more than the recommended amount can be harmful, and there are also contraindications. Consumption guidelines can be found on the tables on the walls inside the gallery; usually, it's no more than 200 grams per serving for adults. Indications for use for each type are also posted there. However, it is best to undergo mineral water treatment on the recommendation and under the supervision of specialists while staying at one of the Kislovodsk sanatoriums.
