How to get to Tolyatti from Samara

Article and Section Navigation

You may need to get from Samara to Tolyatti or back if, staying in the capital of the region, you want to see a few sights of Tolyatti, or if you decide to use this city as a starting point for a trip to Samarskaya National Park Luka or Zhigulevsky Nature Reserve, which is much more convenient than getting to them from Samara. Transport links between the two largest cities of the region are well developed, but there are also some peculiarities. Read on in detail about how and by what to get from Samara to Tolyatti and back.

By taxi

  • Cost: from 1600 rubles
  • Time spent: 60-90 minutes
  • Working period: around the clock
  • Movement interval: around the clock

If finances allow, then of course it is more convenient and fastest to get there by car. A taxi ride from the tourist district of Samara to the Avtozavodsky district of Togliatti will cost from 1600 rubles.

Tourist transfer costs a little more, but the comfort is also higher. You can check the prices and book a transfer from Samara to Tolyatti or back using the search form:

By bus

  • Cost: from 335 rubles
  • Time spent: 2 hours 30 minutes
  • Working period: 06:15 - 20:45
  • Movement interval: 15-30 minutes

Bus service between the cities is very well developed. Buses of flight No. 652 depart every 15-30 minutes from 06:15 to 20:45 according to the exact schedule, two and a half hours on the way, the cost starts from 335 rubles.

Most of the buses depart from Samara Central Bus station, but some of the flights depart from Samara railway station, stopping at the bus station on the way. Also, some flights stop at the airport on the way.

In Togliatti, buses arrive at three bus stations sequentially:

By train

  • Cost: 128 rubles
  • Time spent: 2 hours 20 minutes
  • Working period: -
  • Movement interval: 08:43 and 18:31

This is not the most convenient option to go from Samara to Tolyatti or back, but it is the cheapest.

You can get there by long-distance trains and commuter trains:

  • Commuter trains

Trains depart from Samara railway station twice a day (during the FIFA 2018 World Cup and during the summer season, additional flights can be launched) at 08:43 and 18:31, the cost is 128 rubles, 2 hours and 20 minutes on the way. The schedule changes frequently, so you can check its relevance on the Yandex.Timetables website or on the Samara Railways website - http://samppk.ru

In Togliatti, trains arrive at the Zhiguli Sea station, which is located in the village/Sluice area. This station is very far from the main district of the city – Avtozavodsky, and to get there, you will have to spend more than an hour and 30 rubles for a trip on city buses.

  • Long-distance trains

On the outskirts of the Avtozavodsky district of Togliatti is the railway station of Togliatti. This is a dead-end station, so only one train from Samara runs to it - passing Adler-Togliatti, and only in summer. The train is night, it takes two and a half hours.

By private transport

  • Cost: fuel costs 280 rubles
  • Time spent: 60-90 minutes
  • Working period: around the clock
  • Movement interval: around the clock

Samara and Togliatti are connected by a section of the M5/E30 highway. It is better to go along the "new road" (100 kilometers), which is accessed from the main street of the city - the Moscow highway. A small section of this road is designated as a motorway, i.e. it can be driven at speeds up to 110 km/h, the road will take 60-90 minutes.

Another option is the so-called "old road", which starts along Novo-Sadovaya Street, runs along the Volga bank. This way is 10 kilometers shorter than the new route, but you will lose more time here, because the road is narrower and slower. In addition, at the beginning of 2018, a protracted reconstruction continues on it, further complicating traffic.

If you are going to the Avtozavodsky district of Togliatti, it is better to go not through the city, but along the bypass road. You can enter the Central and Komsomolsky districts directly from the M5 highway.

Whichever route you choose, you should observe the speed limit, since automatic speed cameras are installed everywhere, and non-stationary cameras are often set up.
