General information
Primorsky - an urban-type settlement in Crimea on the Black Sea coast near Feodosia, 14 kilometers from its center (Primorsky on the map of Crimea). It is the largest settlement in Crimea by population, with more than 14,000 people. Primorsky is a popular tourist destination due to the well-developed tourist infrastructure and sandy beaches for such a village.
From Feodosia to Primorsky stretches a continuous strip of sandy beach with a length of almost ten kilometers, and ends here. In the village, in its very center, there is even its own embankment. But, unfortunately, the beaches here are difficult to call ideal: everything is spoiled by the dilapidated embankment itself with concrete breakwaters, protruding rusty fittings, huge stone and concrete boulders in the water and on the shore. And the purity of the water here is not on top. However, it is worth walking a little further, in the direction of Feodosia and Beregovoye, as a continuous strip of beaches with warm clear water and smooth depth begins. True, before it you still have to overcome a small section of the coast on the edge of the village with ugly concrete blocks, but it is only 200 meters.
The infrastructure in the village is well developed, but there are few comfortable hotels. There are banks, supermarket PUD (former ATB), cafes, restaurants, and even nightclubs. Tourist and nightlife revolves around the waterfront, where there are several bars and nightclubs, although all this works only in the high season – July and August. If you come here even in June or September, the situation may seem very boring and there will simply be nothing to do here. In this regard, the village of Beregovoye next door looks even more attractive, since it does not have to get to good beaches outside the village. The most important disadvantage of the village is the lack of normal hotels. You can stay in more or less comfortable conditions for a reasonable price here only by renting a house or apartment from private traders.
There are no attractions in Primorsky. You can see only a few local monuments, a church and a mosque. To see interesting sights, you should either go by bus to Feodosia and get acquainted with its sights, or buy excursions.
As a result, we can say about Primorsky that this is the "golden mean" between popular noisy resorts and very quiet places where there is no entertainment. The advantage is the presence of sandy beaches (for those who prefer them to pebbles), more or less developed infrastructure and at the same time peace and quiet.
Weather and tourist seasons in Primorsky
The high tourist season here lasts from July to September, although you can come and swim in June. But as for the beginning of June and the second half of September, despite the already warm weather and the warmed sea, it may be too boring here, because the local tourist infrastructure is just beginning to prepare for the high season, and most entertainment places do not work.
