As a place for permanent recreation – these villages are not suitable for everyone. Of the tourist infrastructure there are only a few hotels, sanatoriums, and rented housing. Of course, there are shops, several cafes, but there is nothing but the sea that can diversify the leisure of vacationers. For shopping, entertainment and attractions every time you have to get out to Yalta. If you only need the sea, you need a quiet calm atmosphere, and a cozy room – this place is quite suitable.

If you decide to stay in one of the villages, you will have to make a difficult choice. If you stop in the village of Nikita, then you will have to walk to the beach, since the village is separated from the shore by an impressive territory of the Botanical Garden. Each time, in order to swim, you will have to do a considerable March, and with an impressive descent, and back, respectively, you will have to climb.

If you choose Otradnoye, you will be near the beach, here hotels and accommodation are located right by the shore. But close to the beach are sewage treatment plants, so it's still better to go swimming further along the shore, in the direction of Nikita.

Beaches in the village of Nikita and Otradnoye

Beach in Nikita, Yalta, Crimea
Nikita Beach

Nikita and Otradnoye are popular with vacationers as remote and more calm and deserted beaches of Yalta. Indeed, even at the height of the season, when there is simply nowhere to fall on the city beaches, you can sit on the shore completely freely. Therefore, tourists come here for a day, staying in Yalta, and you can combine a trip to the beach with a visit to the botanical garden, if you arrive early.

In general, the beaches here stretch for one and a half kilometers, from the treatment facilities in Otradnoye, and in Nikita they go to the shore of the Reserve at Cape Martyan, where access is prohibited. All beaches are pebbly, and sometimes even "crushed stone", separated by breakwaters.

However, there is a downside: there are practically no beach activities and amenities, the beaches are not always cleaned, and they are difficult to reach. And it's not only that you need to get here by bus, but also because the passages to the beaches are built up with sanatoriums and blocked by the territory of the botanical garden, so you have to walk around on foot. In Otradnoye, the situation is better, hotels and accommodation are located right on the shore, but as we have already mentioned, sewage treatment plants are located next door.
