What to Expect and Is It Worth Visiting
Near Mezhvodny there are several lakes, at the bottom of which there is therapeutic cosmetic mud. The most popular and easily visited is the salt lake Dzharylgach, which can be reached even on foot. There is no infrastructure for taking mud baths here, you will have to do everything yourself: get the dirt from the bottom, smear it on, and wash it off in a few minutes. Usually they wait for the dirt to dry and turn into a crust, after which it is washed off. A layer of black therapeutic mud lies under a layer of silt, and to get to it, you will have to dig a little, for which smart tourists use a simply cut plastic bottle. Just don't leave the plastic behind on the shore, but take it to the village and throw it in the trash there.
In general, self-treatment with mud is not recommended by specialists, and therefore it is worthwhile to adhere to the following rules during the first procedures: do not apply dirt to the whole body, no more than 10% of the surface is recommended; the session should last no more than 10 minutes and no more than three times a day; monitor your well-being and in case of deterioration, immediately wash off the dirt.
