The Djur-Djur waterfall is rightfully considered the most full-flowing waterfall of the Crimea, and one of the brightest attractions of Alushta. Its height is 15 meters, width is about 5 meters. Even in the driest season, it does not dry up, although, of course, it does not become as spectacular as after the rains.
There are several more waterfall rapids higher up the river, in the pools of which you can safely swim, but the water is icy. The forests of the Haphali Nature Reserve are beautifully spread out around. The Djur-Djur Cave is 200 meters away, but it is not intended for mass visits by tourists. Also, routes to the peaks of Demerdzhi north and south, Jurla Waterfall, to the valley of ghosts begin from the waterfall. But these are very long walks for more than one day, and in general, tourists usually prefer to descend from the peaks to the Haphali Gorge and to the Djur-Djur waterfall.
The waterfall is relatively easily accessible to all categories of tourists, and it can be easily visited both as part of an excursion and independently. Read below for detailed information on how to get to the Djur-Djur Waterfall.

🚶 How to get there: the waterfall is located on the territory of the Haphal Nature Reserve in the Haphal gorge near the village of Generalskoe (djur-Djur waterfall on the map). It is easier and cheaper to get here as part of an organized excursion, which will cost from 750 rubles. A trip on your own will cost more, but if you organize a trip with a group of several people, it will be cheaper.
First you need to take a bus from the intercity bus station of Alushta to Rybachy or Sudak (via Rybachye), but you need to go to the village of Solnechnogorskoye. Buses depart according to the schedule every hour, tickets are bought at the ticket office of the bus station, 33 rubles. Further from Solnechnogorsk you need to get to the village of Generalskoe, but buses go there very rarely. It is impossible to walk (9 kilometers), so taxi drivers are on duty in Solnechnogorsk right next to the stop, who offer a trip to the village of Generalskoye for 500 rubles round trip, or for 1000 almost to the waterfall and back (the price per car). If you go a little deeper into the village, you can find a jeep for 350 rubles per person to the General's, or 450 per person to the waterfall. It also offers a walk to the waterfall on horseback for 1500 rubles. If you choose a trip to the village and not directly to the waterfall, then it will take 20-30 minutes to get there, the walk is pleasant and interesting.
You can also get to the village of Generalskoe directly from Alushta by bus No. 111 for 50 rubles. The bus departs from the bus station of Alushta, passes through the ring on Sovetskaya Square, and then goes very slowly and for a long time to the village of Generalskoye through Solnechnogorskoye. It is sent according to the schedule 2-3 times a day.
If you get to the waterfall by your car, keep in mind that the locals earn by driving jeeps to the waterfall, and too "actively" offer their services, including to those who came to the village by their car. They meet visitors at the entrance and offer to park for free, and then explain that it is very far to the waterfall, you will not reach it yourself, and so on. Don't believe it. Even by car, you can drive further from the beginning of the village to the parking lot in the southern part of the village, and there leave it near the cafe (see parking on the map). You can drive an SUV for almost a kilometer along the terrible broken road up to the next parking lot, from where the waterfall is just around the corner.
