How to get from Krasnodar airport to the city

The airport is located on the outskirts of the city, 10 kilometers from the center (airport on the map). Urban development begins almost from the airport, and some accommodation facilities can even be reached on foot. The center, bus station and railway station can be reached by bus or taxi. Although the distance is small, due to traffic jams, it is worth setting a time of 1 hour for a trip to the center.

Since the station is located almost in the center, some hotels and attractions can be reached on foot from it. If you book accommodation far from the train station, you can take a taxi from 70 rubles when ordering through the application, or take public transport for 28 rubles. By train to Krasnodar

By bus to Krasnodar

By car to Krasnodar

From Moscow, St. Petersburg, Voronezh, Rostov-on-Don and other cities in the European part of the country to Krasnodar is the fastest way to go on the toll highway M-4 Don. If you don't want to pay for the fare, then you can get there quite comfortably on free roads. The path will also pass along the M4, but the toll sections will have to be bypassed by less high-quality roads through populated areas. The distance will be only 80 kilometers longer, but in time it is an additional few hours due to downtime in traffic jams.

From the regions to the east, you can go on free roads through Saratov and Volgograd. The road along this route is narrow in places, one lane in each direction, but of acceptable quality. Difficulties will only be with passing through Volgograd itself: if you get into rush hour, you will lose 2-4 hours of time. Ideally, you should plan your trip so that you can drive through the city at night.

Transport in Krasnodar, what to move on

For tourist travel around the city, it is best to use a taxi or public transport (buses, trams, trolleybuses), and it is better to park your personal car next to the hotel. There is no metro in Krasnodar yet, but for many years there have been plans to create aboveground and underground branches.

It is best to order a taxi through the Yandex.Taxi, Uber, Citymobil applications. There are also local taxi companies with their own applications, but it is impractical for tourists to use them during a short stay in the city. The minimum price of a trip around the city is from 60 rubles (in the evening and at night it increases twice), a trip to the airport will cost about 400 rubles. It is unprofitable to use the bombil services that are on duty near the airport and railway stations for short trips, they ask for many times more. But for a long-distance trip from Krasnodar to coastal resorts, it is possible to negotiate with them profitably, but it is better to do it in advance, for example, on the previous day before departure.
