Krasnaya Street

The Krasnodar Museum of the history of the North Caucasus Railway (SKZHD) is a departmental Museum operating under the DC railwayman. The great oceanarium in Krasnodar is considered to be the largest in the south of Russia and one of the largest in Russia. It was built from 1900 to 1914 in honor of the miraculous rescue of Emperor Alexander III and his family during a train wreck in 1888. During the Soviet era, they wanted to blow it up for disassembly into bricks, but by a miracle it was saved by architect I. K. Malgerb.

Alexander Nevsky Cathedral

The military Cathedral of the Holy Prince Alexander Nevsky is the main temple of Krasnodar, but unlike Catherine's is a new model with historical roots. The fact is that although it was originally built in the middle of the XIX century, in 1932 it was completely destroyed by the Soviet authorities. It was restored only in 2006, and the new temple is not an architectural copy of the original.

Next to the temple is a monument to Alexander Nevsky, and a couple of minutes walk another remarkable place – a stone in honor of the foundation of Krasnodar in 1793.
