What to Expect and Is It Worth Visiting
Anapa Museum of Local Lore, also known as the Anapa Archaeological Museum, is the main city museum that is worth a visit if you are at least a little interested in history, and if you don't mind paying a fairly high entrance fee. Unfortunately, now the museum's exposition is divided into separate exhibitions, each of which is visited for a fee, or you can see all the exhibitions on a rather expensive single ticket, which almost reaches the cost of the Hermitage, although the scale here, of course, is far from such.
In general, the Anapa museum is small, but modern and well organized. It consists of the following sections: "Anapa - the city of military glory" (about the period of the Second World War); "Anapa Street" (about the history of the city), "Nature"; "Viticulture and winemaking"; "Famous people of Anapa". In addition to entrance tickets, you can purchase a tour guide.
After visiting the museum of local lore, we also recommend visiting Archaeological Museum-Park "Gorgippia".
