There are not so many mosques in Yelabuga. Jamig Cathedral Mosque is one of the new mosques (built in 1992-1999), and in fact is the main mosque of the city. Its minaret is very high, visible from many places in the city. It is most convenient to see it during a walk to The Devil's settlement, since the mosque is not located in the historical part of the city, but on the way to the settlement.
It can be viewed not only from the outside, but also go inside to see the interior, but tourists should not enter during prayer so as not to distract the faithful. The Jamig Mosque is located a little away from the tourist center of Elabuga on Mira Avenue, 2 (mosque on the map). In principle, it is easy to get here from the center on foot, and it is especially convenient if you visit the Devil's settlement, which is located 10 minutes walk from the mosque. If you don't like walking, you can take a taxi or city buses to the stop "City Palace of Culture" (see bus stops and routes on the map).
