A small local history museum named after A. Abu-Bakar in Kubachi opened in 2012 and is a branch of National Museum named after A. Taho-Godi. It is both a local history museum and a house-museum of the people's writer of Dagestan A. Abu-Bakar. Part of the exhibits tells about the life and work of the famous writer. Personal belongings of the writer, as well as books, diaries, letters and manuscripts are presented.

Most of the exposition is devoted to ethnography Kubachi village. Here you can see the recreated interior of a traditional Kubachi house with antique household items - ceramics, bronze boilers, vessels for water and food storage. A special place is occupied by women's national clothing. The elements of the clothes of the writer's mother and wife have been preserved and presented.

Akhmedkhan Abu-Bakar (real name and surname — Akhmedkhan Abakarovich Abakarov) (December 12, 1931 — October 23, 1991) was a Darginian writer, publicist, screenwriter, the first Darginian professional playwright. People's writer of the Dagestan ASSR (1969).

He was born on December 12, 1931 in the village of Kubachi. By nationality — darginets . He graduated from the M. Gorky Literary Institute (1956) and screenwriting courses at the Glavkinematography of the USSR in Moscow. He worked as an editorial staff member of the republican newspaper Leninskoe Znamya, editor of the Darginsky issue of the almanac Druzhba, executive secretary of the Board of the Writers' Union of Dagestan, editor of the republican newspaper Leninskoe Znamya.

He gained fame as the author of novels and plays from the life of modern Dagestan. The story "Dargin Girls" (1958) was translated into Russian, French, English, German, Spanish, Polish.

He also wrote for children: the book of short stories "Grandfather Habibula from the Valley of Gardens" (1966), the play "Nur-Eddin — golden hands" (1964).

Daily from 10:00 to 18:00, the ticket office closes at 17:15, Monday is a day off.
