What to Expect and Is It Worth Visiting
This little-noticed landmark is located next to the Kislovodsk railway station and the building of the local Philharmonic. This is a memorial stone weighing about 12-15 tons, extracted from the ground in 1823 during the construction of the Myasnikovsky log house - the first well for the narzan spring.
We will not say that it is necessary to visit this attraction, because there is not much to see here. But if you walk in the area of the railway station, you can make a short stop here, because it's safe to say that the source gave a start to the development of the medical resort, and the stone itself symbolizes its foundation.
Although the stone indicates that the construction of the Myasnikovsky log cabin dates back to 1823, according to another version it was built in 1812 by order of the Caucasian civil governor Ya. M. Briskorn. The work was carried out by the provincial architect S. D. Myasnikov (hence the name – Myasnikovsky). The log cabin of the Narzan and the finishing of the well with stone and a wooden platform were built, two huts for taking narzan baths were installed.
