What to Expect and Is It Worth Visiting
A. I. Solzhenitsyn was born in Kislovodsk, and in the period from 1920 - 1924 he lived in this house, which belonged to his aunt. After the death of the writer in 2008, Vladimir Putin, on his own initiative, issued a decree according to which this house was designated an object of cultural heritage at the federal level, restoration began in it. In 2015, the museum finally opened to the public.
The museum has only one hall and a cinema room for watching a documentary, and without a tour you will not learn anything here and in general it is unlikely to be interesting.
