Semenovsky historical and art museum is located in a historic building - a two-story mansion of the XIX century. It was founded in 1934 on the initiative of enthusiast, master teacher and artist Matveev Georgy Petrovich. The exposition presents historical and artistic exhibits, many collections of crafts: Golden khokhloma, nesting dolls, carved house boards and much more. One of the most interesting halls is the recreated interior of Merchant Life of the second half of the 19th century. Lenin pedestrian street
The pedestrian part of Lenin Street is quite small, only 200 meters. Nevertheless, if there is anywhere to walk around the city during a short visit, then along this street. Church of All Saints
The church was built in 1863 in a typical Russian-Byzantine style. The building of the church in the name of All Saints is a single-headed chetverik, connected to the bell tower by means of an attached refectory. The bell tower is covered with a typical golden dome. In the 1930s, the temple was closed, the domes were dismantled, and the building was used as a water pump. Returned to the church in the early 90s.

Old Believers ' Church of St. Nicholas of Christ

G. A. Vitushkin was the owner of the local lozhkarny craft. Its former manor house is a prime example of late 19th century architecture. The building is built of red brick and is characterized by a pronounced plasticity of the facade and a massive gate arch, and numerous decorative elements enhance the expressiveness of the building's appearance. Today it houses the post office building.

Estate of the merchant Khanykin
Another bright architectural landmark of Semenov is located on the pedestrian part of Lenin Street. It is a two-story red brick house built in the late 19th century. It belonged to the merchant Ivan Hanykin, who kept a shop selling manufactories. Today there is a military enlistment office in the building, and therefore if you are not a conscript, you can inspect it only from the outside.
