General information

The village of Privetnoe in the Crimea located on the southeastern tip of the Crimean Peninsula, 50 kilometers from Alushta and three kilometers from the coast (welcome on the map of Crimea. Administratively belongs to the urban district of Alushta (Bolshaya Alushta).

In fact, this is a self-educated tourist area along the beach with a length of 2 kilometers with minimal infrastructure, almost no entertainment, having a rest like "doing nothing" and without any special claims to service, cleanliness and beauty of the beaches.

11 kilometers along the road to the detour and two kilometers along the coast from Privetnoe is another tourist area - Kanaka (Kanakskaya beam). Here it is a little more cozy, cleaner and more expensive, but the situation is again rustic.

The bulk of vacationers are families with children. It is too boring for young people, and the conditions for the elderly are not the most suitable. There is simply nowhere to walk in the afternoon or go somewhere in the evening, entertainment is only the beach and gatherings in a cafe. Also here come lovers of recreation with a tent and in their cars at the campsite.

Beaches in Privetnoe

In the village of Privetnoe there is no sea. You will have to get to the coast on foot (about half an hour walk through the picturesque area) or by car. But, at the same time, tourists practically do not stop in the village itself, preferring to live near the sea in Katran.

The beach in Katran (also called the village beach) is divided by the Uskut River into two halves: the Western one refers directly to Katran, and the AutoCamp is located on the East. The river is small, almost a stream, so you can safely go between the beaches. On the beach near Katran there are no facilities such as changing cabins, showers, toilets. But you can rent a sun lounger or umbrella, there are cafes, canteens and retail outlets.

Kanakskaya Balka Beach is another resort area, it is located two kilometers south along the coast, and almost 11 kilometers by road. Here you can rent umbrellas, deck chairs, jet skis. There is a cafe on the beach, several VIP zones are allocated. And in general, the situation in this area is more cozy, the streets are cleaner, the service is better.

The water near the coast of both beaches is clear, clean, as large ships do not go here, and there are no large factories nearby. The beaches are strewn with pebbles. There is not much sand, it is large and gray, and lies a few meters from the water's edge.

To the north of the village beach for many kilometers stretches a wild Pebble Beach, sometimes turning into a real "Cobblestone", but here it is very deserted.

Entertainment and attractions

Entertainment in Katran is offered only in the season from July to September. And at the beginning and at the end of the season, many of them are not available.

The main entertainment in Privetnoe and Katran is the beach and the sea. Like any village on the coast, Katran offers a variety of water activities: walks on yachts, boats, catamarans, jet ski races and paragliding, water skiing and diving, water bike rental. Lovers of fishing can take fishing, including access to the open sea. One of the beachside bars has Table Tennis and billiards. Guests can also relax in the sauna or enjoy a massage. For children on the beach there are simple inflatable slides and a trampoline. Lovers of active recreation are offered diving (there is a diving center), trekking in the mountains, horseback riding, extreme buggy riding in the surrounding area.

The rest of the entertainment is located at a considerable distance from the village, and civilization in general is only in Alushta and in Sudak, 50 kilometers from here.

There are no attractions in Hirady. On foot (5 kilometers) or by bus you can get to Choban-Kule Tower, where the ruins of an ancient fortress are preserved. By bus you can also get to Alushta or Sudak and see their sights (see sights of Alushta and sights of Sudak). To see other interesting places in the district, you will either have to hire a taxi or use your own transport. You can also buy excursions to any corner of the Crimea, but there are small problems with this, because only full groups are sent, and therefore you will have to wait, sometimes for several days, until the necessary number of tourists is gathered.

Wine excursions deserve special attention in the most Privetnoe. On the territory of the village there is a winery, which is part of the NPAO "Massandra". It produces strong and dessert wines. For tourists, excursions are conducted, during which they tell about the secrets of winemaking and offer tasting of local wines.

Infrastructure

Infrastructure in the area is poorly developed. There is everything you need, but nothing more. There are several small shops, a market (in the village itself), shops, pharmacies. There is a hospital in the village, but for normal medical care you will have to go to a big city 50 kilometers away. There are no ATMs.

There will be no problems with food, there are plenty of cafes and canteens here. Most of the housing is rented with a kitchen. But keep in mind that in Katran shops and cafes start working only in June, and finish working in September.

Hotels and accommodation in Privetnoe

There are not many hotels in Privetnoe, about a dozen. There are no hotels in the village itself, all of them are located on the shore in Katran and in the resort of Kanaka. Most of them are private mini – hotels with a minimum of Service, which, in fact, are no different from renting housing from private owners, but there are also full-fledged serviced hotels, and it is better to book them in advance.

Weather and tourist seasons in the village of Privetnoe
