Taigan Safari Park in Crimea - this is an unusual and amazing place. It is the largest Lions Park in Europe. Located near Belogorsk, it is approximately in the middle on the way from Simferopol to Feodosia (Park on the maphowever, it is visited not only from these two cities, but tours to it are sold on others resorts of Crimea.
More than 1.5 thousand different animals live here, including 58 Lions, about 40 tigers, many different birds, artiodactyls, giraffes, raccoons, foxes and others. Most of them are collected from all over the world. And unique white lions were brought from South Africa, there are no such in any other zoo in the CIS.
The park was founded in 2012 and is a branch of the zoo in . Yalta. It occupies an area of more than 32 hectares, of which about 20 is reserved for the safari park itself. On the rest of the territory there are cafes, a hotel, a restaurant, 2 zoos: children's and stationary, a bird house and much more. At the entrance, everyone is given a map for orientation. Moving around the park can be done on foot, by electric car, bicycle rickshaw or locomotive. The user chooses their own transport.
Over the territory where lions live and walk freely, peculiar bridges are installed, from which spectators in close proximity observe the life of pets. In the "House of birds" there are various species of birds, some of them walk and fly outside the aviaries.
Throughout the territory there are various birds: peacocks, different breeds of ducks and chickens. The park provides visitors with the opportunity to take pictures with small tiger cubs and lion cubs. There are a large number of benches and several fountains. A cafe, several ice cream stalls and a restaurant offer refreshment during or after a walk in the park. Also near the entrance there are souvenir shops where you can buy something to remember. The hotel allows you to stay overnight and watch the life of predators in the dark.
Park "Taigan" will be interesting to anyone who likes to watch the behavior of predators in the wild. It will also appeal to everyone who wants to see an unusual Zoo in its structure and animals. You should go here for at least half a day, and taking into account the road, you should plan a whole day.

🚶 How to get there: the park is located in Belogorsk between Simferopol and Theodosia. The easiest way to visit it is with a tour, which can be bought at any tourist place right on the street. In fact, such excursions are simply a transfer to the park and back, without any guide. Be sure to check before buying a tour whether entrance tickets are included in the price (usually not included). If you want to get there yourself, you can take a bus to Belogorsk from Simferopol bus station Feodosia or Kerch (cost from 52 USD), and then on foot or by taxi to the entrance to the park.
