Lovers of taking mud baths can go to one of the salt lakes near Popovka and Mirny. Dalny Lake Oyburskoye is officially recognized as curative and is known for its blue clay containing useful minerals, metals, salts and trace elements. It is believed that it cleanses and disinfects the skin. In addition, this is a very shallow lake and the water in it warms up very well, which is perfect for swimming with children. Closer is the estuary Lake Popovskoye. It is small and very shallow, rich in hydrogen sulfide-rich healing silt mud, but it is not officially considered curative, although it is actively used by tourists and locals to extract mud and conduct cosmetic and therapeutic procedures.
There is no infrastructure and facilities for mud procedures here, and therefore you will have to independently extract dirt from the bottom, smear it, spend time on the beach and then wash off the remnants. To do this, you first need to find a place where you can get these very real therapeutic mud, and not ordinary mud. This therapeutic mud is deep under the layer of silt, and it can be distinguished by the smell of hydrogen sulfide and a very rich black or bluish color. Moreover, the deeper you get, the more blue the mud will have. By mistake, some vacationers are mined and smeared with the most ordinary mud from under a layer of sand. If you do not know how and where to get it, it is better to ask someone from the local or more experienced vacationers, and you will be shown the place you need.
In general, self-treatment with mud is not recommended by specialists, and therefore it is worthwhile to adhere to at least such rules during the first procedures:
- do not apply dirt on the entire body, no more than 10% of the surface is recommended;
- the session should last no more than 10 minutes and no more than three times a day.;
- monitor your health and in case of deterioration, immediately wash off the dirt.
