The climate in Kerch, as well as in Crimea as a whole, is relatively mild compared to most of the European part of Russia. There are no harsh winters and moderately hot temperatures in summer.

The high tourist season here runs from May to October. In early May and in June, the weather may be unstable, there may be cold snaps and frequent rains, the sea is cold. Sunbathing and walking around the sights in these months can be comfortable, but the full bathing season begins only in the second decade of June, sometimes a little later.

• ✈ By plane. Since Simferopol Airport is closed, you can only get by plane through the nearest airport in Sochi (Adler). Then from Sochi airport to Kerch by train or trains with a transfer in Krasnodar (it will take 17-24 hours).
• 🚆 By train. All trains to Crimea pass through Kerch and make a stop here. From the railway station to the hotel in the city center will have to take a taxi from 300 rubles or a local bus.
