What to Expect and Is It Worth Visiting
Two steep twin cliffs of Adalara (White Rocks) are located in the water area of the Gurzuf Stones beach 200 meters from the shore of Gurzuf. It is believed that they used to be connected to the land by an isthmus, but later it sank under the water, turning them into two islets. Once ships were moored to them, which is why this place is now popular with divers, who to this day manage to find ancient artifacts on the bottom around the rocks. And at the beginning of the last century there was a restaurant "Venice", where vacationers were delivered from the shore on ships. But over time, the restaurant was abandoned and completely destroyed. There was even a plan to build a cable car to the islands from the Genevez-Kai cliff, for which a tunnel was even cut in the latter, but then the idea was abandoned.
Today, the Adalars are interesting for tourists simply as a natural attraction and a place for water walks. They can be reached by water and viewed up close. But landing on the islets is dangerous, the rocks are too steep. There are no beaches on them. Usually tourists just sail there on a rented boat or catamaran, inspect the rocks from all sides, and come back.
