Near the entrance to the Khan's Palace of Bakhchisrai there is a historical landmark - a sign in the form of a pillar, called the "Catherine Mile". Such pillars were installed along the entire route of the motorcade of Empress Catherine II during a trip from St. Petersburg to the Crimea in 1787, and they can still be found in different parts of the Crimea along the roads, and all of them are historical monuments.
The exact number of pillars in the Crimea could not be established, but presumably there could be about 55 of them. Currently, only 6 have survived in Crimea, one of them can be seen here.
We will not necessarily and purposefully advise you to go or go here just to look at the pillar, but if you visit the Khan's Palace or just walk past, then pay attention to this historical monument.
