Alimova beam in Bakhchiaraysky district of Crimea is a natural attraction, a beautiful gorge with several interesting places to visit. The official eco-trail tourist route is equipped here for a short hiking trip for several hours. Of course, in the Bakhchisarai district there are more interesting places for walking to ancient cave towns and monasteries, but if you have already looked at everything and just want to walk along the nature trail, then you can come here.
Alimova Beam runs along the inner ridge of the Crimean Mountains, is located on the southern slope of the Kachinsky canyon and not far from the Kachi-Kalon monastery. Excursions are not carried here, this place is exclusively for independent tourists and hiking or hiking enthusiasts. Although who knows, things may change over time.
The name of the beam comes from the name of the legendary Crimean Tatar robber of the XIX century, Alim Azamat-oglu Aidamak. He was known as a noble robber, a kind of "Robin Hood", who gave away the loot for the benefit of the poor. But at least this is how he was immortalized in literature and folk songs. They even made films about him, however, it was a long time ago – at the beginning of the last century.
The tourist route along the Alimova Beam is well equipped. Information boards with a route diagram, benches and gazebos for recreation, signs, places for recreation are installed. And to overcome the initial climb, we made a long wooden path, we counted about 600 meters! It will take at least 2 hours to complete, and in a place with rest and unhurried visits to all points on the route, you can allocate half a day. Here you can see:
- Alimov's fault or gap. This is a through gorge with a length of about 100 meters with stones hanging between the walls high above the head.
- Taurus boxes. Ancient stone structures that supposedly served for the burial of the indigenous inhabitants of the Crimea of the Tauri. We found only one "box" here, but there may be more.
- Observation decks overlooking the beam. These are non-equipped viewpoints, located higher above the cliff, but we did not find access to them from the official equipped route.
- Tourist parking. New comfortable gazebos for recreation have been built here.
- Stream Alim-Koba-Chokrak.
The route is not circular, besides, it also branches. The length is a little more than a kilometer, and then the same amount back. In order not to get confused and get lost, you can install Organic maps on your smartphone or Maps.me , there are all the trails there, and you can download points from our map of attractions in Crimea. However, now trails along this route have appeared on Yandex maps as well, just upload a section of the map offline before hiking, since the Internet doesn't work here.
For a walk, wear sports shoes, even better hiking or trekking. There are no height differences and difficult sections here, everything is very simple, but if you decide to go through the Alimov fault, there are good shoes and a little rock climbing skill will come in handy. Trekking poles are not required here.
Also, do not forget to take drinking water, and you can have something for a picnic. Although there is a stream here, and it is believed that it is drinkable, it is still better to bring your own water.

🚶 How to get there
Alimovka balka is located near the village of Bashtanovka, 8 kilometers from Bakhchisarai (entrance to the Alimova Balka route on the map). Be careful! The navigator can set the route to the Beam incorrectly, on impassable dirt drogues through the mountains. You need to drive along the asphalt to the village of Bashatanovka, and opposite Kachi-Kalon, leave the road to the right, cross the Kacha River through the bridge, and drive along the dirt road to the beginning of the walking route. The starting point of the route is marked on our map.
You can also get here by bus. From the Bakhchisarai bus station you need to take a commuter bus to the village of Sinapskoye, departs every 30-60 minutes according to the schedule, go 30 minutes, see route on the map. The bus makes a stop at the stop point "Kachi-Kalon", from it to the beginning of the trail to Alimova Beam a little more than 1 kilometer.
