Psechiaco falls or Devil's mouth – this is the closest and most accessible full-fledged waterfall to Goryachy Klyuch, not counting the mini-waterfall in Dante's gorge. To get to it, you need to go on an easy one-day walk through the adjacent forests and mountains along the route, during which you can simultaneously visit The Mirror rock, the Iron Spring, the observation deck and several other notable places.
The waterfall is formed on the stream Erik Maltsev, which, passing through the hot spring, flows into the Psekups River. During high water, its appearance is impressive: water flows down the rocks, squeezed in a narrow gorge about 20 meters high. But objectively it is worth noting that this is still not a waterfall, but a water slide, since the water does not break from the height, but flows down the inclined rocks. In addition, in summer and autumn, the stream becomes very low-water, and the waterfall is not as impressive as in the full-water spring season.
The route does not present great difficulties and in fact it can be completed in 3-4 hours, but given that you will spend a lot of effort, it is worth allocating a whole day to it. We recommend shod comfortable sports or hiking shoes, stock up on drinking water, take something to eat. Do not interfere with raincoats in case of a sharp change in the weather. In general, it is better to check the forecast in advance, because in time of rain, walking on slippery clay trails is not very pleasant and safe.

🚶 How to get there
Psechiako or Devil's mouth is located in a wooded area south of the tourist area of Goryachy Klyuch five kilometers from its center (Psechiaco or Devil's mouth on the map. You can reach it on one of the many paths laid through the forest, but there are no signs here. That's why we recommend using Yandex. Navigator or Yandex map editor apps on your smartphone Organic Maps, OSM and others similar. On the maps you can download points of interest from our interactive map, and navigate them.
We recommend taking a circular route with visits to waterfalls and other places along the way. You should start in the dirt road at the end of Shchors street or along the path from the transformer booth near the Sanatorium "Gorny", they eventually converge into one path. Moving along it, you will pass by ferruginous stream, Mirror Rock and eventually reach the waterfall. After a rest at the waterfall, you can return the same way, but it is more interesting to continue along the Ring Route. To do this, go around the waterfall on the right along the steeply ascending path, continue along it through Mount Sapun, the observation deck, mount Klyuchevaya, the pillar of peace, and eventually come out in Dante Gorge.
