What to Expect and Is It Worth Visiting
The Cathedral of the intercession of Yelabuga (Cathedral of the intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos) was built in the period from 1806 to 1820 to replace the wooden church, which is believed to have been the first Orthodox Church of the settlement on the site of present Yelabuga. The cathedral is functioning, restored, services are held in it. Be sure to walk to this temple, because it is one of the three main temples of Elabuga, located on the same line along Bolshaya Pokrovskaya Street.
