What to Expect and Is It Worth Visiting
Museum of the History of the city of Yelabuga is a central local history and ethnographic museum, which should definitely be visited by guests of the city, and, in our opinion, it is best to do it first. The exposition of this museum is not very large, but very informative, and tells about the history of Elabuga from ancient times to the present day. Personally, we liked the fact that it is filled with real exhibits, and not newfangled modern multimedia effects. And what is especially nice is that there are original artifacts here, not just copies. Each exhibit has informational signatures, and it will be even more interesting to inspect it with a guided tour (you can order it when buying tickets, but it's expensive), or download an audio guide application to your smartphone Izi.travel and get acquainted in more detail yourself. Just do not forget to take headphones, so as not to disturb other visitors. In general, if you come to Yelabuga to get acquainted with the history and culture of the city, then it is worth starting acquaintance with this museum.
