At this point, two tributaries of the Sulak River merge: the Avar Koysu (the right component of the Sulak River) and the Andian Koysu (the left component of the Sulak River). The Avar Koysu and the Andian Koysu are considered to be independent rivers, and after this confluence the Sulak River is formed, which turns into the famous Chirkey reservoir, and then flows along the bottom of the magnificent Sulak Canyon.
In general, if you suddenly don't know, then Koisu is the old name of the Sulak River. It comes from the Turkic (Kumyk) combination "kyoi suv" — sheep water.
You shouldn't go especially to this observation deck from the resorts, it's not a great point for a short stop if you pass by. From here, from one point you will see all three rivers at once, sandwiched between rocks with almost vertical slopes. But, of course, photos do not convey the beauty of this place, you need to come and see for yourself.

🚶 How to get there
The observation deck at the confluence of the Avar and Andian Kois is located 90 kilometers from Makhachkala and 200 from Derbent (observation deck on the map). There is a good asphalt road leading here. This place is located away from popular tourist routes and attractions, does not even get into the passing routes from Makhachkala to Hunzah, Gunib, Matlas plateau and the Irganai reservoir. But you can make a very small "detour" of 6 kilometers and stop here when driving from Gimrin tunnel or to it. If you drive towards Chechnya through Lake Kezenoy-Am, then in any case you will pass through this observation deck.
