Almost all tourists and guides have heard, and many have been to Akhtyn hot springs, we have already described them in detail here. But very few people know that next to the village of Akhty there is another hot spring in the village of Hkem, also known as Kamun-Yad.
In general, to be honest, this is not exactly a hot spring, but actually a little warm and more mineral. It is believed that its water has healing properties, helps with skin diseases during bathing, and from diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, if you drink it. This water is also saturated with burning gases, i.e. if you bring a fire to it, it will burn as on the famous source of Fever. Well, the villagers use this spring not only as a healing one, but also just as a public bath to wash.
The spring is a small stone building on the outskirts of the village, inside which a little warm mineral water flows out of the pipes like in the showers. There is no lighting inside, so if you arrive in the evening, bring a lantern here. Women and men wash separately here. Do not occupy the source for a long time, because besides you, local residents use it. If you come here and arrange bath and laundry procedures here, occupying the entire source for a whole hour, then it is unlikely that anyone will like it.

The source is located on the outskirts of the village of Hkem in the Akhtyn district (source on map). You can get to it only by your own transport, public does not go here. Follow the NAVIGATOR to the point on our map. The last one and a half kilometers to drive on a dirt road passable for cars.
