Not very high, but full-flowing almost all year round, the Khanaga Waterfall is usually visited together with the Khuchninskaya fortress or on the way to the Turaginsky natural bridge. It is considered one of the most beautiful in the Republic of Dagestan. At the base of the waterfall there is a spacious natural pool where you can swim and even go fishing.
Khanag Waterfall is easily accessible and well equipped. There is a spacious paid parking (100 USD), gazebos for rent with a barbecue are offered, there are a couple of cafes nearby, and you can even stay in one of the two guest houses nearby.

🚶 How to get there
Khanag waterfall is located near the village of Khanag, 55 kilometers from Derbent and 150 from Makhachkala (waterfall on the map). You can get here by car, a good paved road leads to the waterfall itself. The waterfall parking area is located below the main road, there is an exit leading to it. The cost of parking is 100 rubles, but if you only want to see the waterfall and do not plan to stay here for a long time, you can park the car upstairs on the side of the road and walk to the waterfall 5 minutes on foot. You can also get here by commuter buses that depart from the southern bus station of Derbent, but unfortunately there is no timetable at our disposal.
Well, the easiest and most interesting way to visit the fortress waterfall along with other attractions in this direction is ready–made excursions.
