What to Expect and Is It Worth Visiting
The ancient wooden Gullinsky Bridge is one of the oldest in Dagestan. Locals say that it is at least 300 years old, and according to some estimates even all 700, but this is not accurate. It is notable for the fact that it is built entirely of wood and without a single nail.
In the old days, it was the only bridge connecting the village of Shile with the village of Gulli, and vehicles could even pass through it, allowing them to cross the Irarichrer River. Today, a metal bridge has been built to replace it, and this one has become a local landmark. It is maintained in a "working" condition by local residents, although, of course, there can be no talk of any transportation to it today. But it is quite possible to walk along it and take beautiful photos.
In general, this attraction is literally 5-10 minutes away from visiting, and therefore we will not necessarily recommend it for a visit and go to it on purpose, it is too difficult and a bad road leads to it. However, if you are going to drive towards the Kuzhniki Natural Bridge, it is definitely worth stopping here.

🚶 How to get there
Gullinsky bridge is located between the villages of Shile and Gulli, it is about 60 kilometers from Derbent and 160 from Makhachkala (bridge on the map). You can get here only by your own transport, public transport does not go here. Most of the way will take place on a fairly tolerable asphalt road. But the last few kilometers will have to be driven on a clay and rocky primer, sometimes difficult to pass in wet weather for ordinary cars. There are no signs along the way, so you need to go by navigator.
